Probably been done before, if so apologies.. What division has produced the most champions/greatest talent pool in this country. It's not all about world titles it could be European as well. Fighters who never won a world title but were bloody good and have some cracking names on there record. I'm sure SMW and Heavyweight will be leading contenders. List the fighters and reasons why. Is it quantity or quality you go for. Could be a division with loads of very solid champions or a division with a few real gems. Discuss :good. Flyweight. Jimmy Wilde, Benny Lynch, Peter Kane, Jackie Paterson, Rinty Monaghan, Walter McGowan, Chris Edwards () etc. etc.
Shows my lack of knowledge on the older era. Sure Atberry will be in to discuss the greatness of the SMW's.

Aye, Britain's list of Flyweights pre 1960's is unreal. No other division holds a candle to it. If we're talking modern era then again I'd say it's a cut and dried call on it being Super Middleweight. Eubank, Benn, Calzaghe, Froch, Reid, Woodhall, Starie etc.

You know what, I've never watched Catley fight before. I'm going to need to watch some of his fights.
Good fighter mate, could dig and would of given Joe a real fight IMO. He beat Woodhall TBH. Woodhall even said he lost right after belt he felt ashamed by the decision. He got robbed in SA against Thobela who had loaded wraps. But he was a real road warrior and beat good names. Worth a watch :yep :good.
He only had one fight there, the tragic Eubank rematch. He did look fantastic right up to the awful moment so I would say its possible to rank him.
Only had one fight at SMW though Jamie. No doubts about his ability but his best work was at MW. He would of been a fine fighter at SMW if he was healthy after that Eubank rematch..
In the 70s and 80s (I call that modern, but then I am of a certain age), the Welterweights (Stracey, Green, Honeyghan, Laing and Jones) and the Middleweights (Finnegan, Sibson, Minter, Graham, Watson and Benn) were top notch. In the 80s and 90s the Featherweights showed some pretty impressive names (Cowdell, McGuigan, McDonnell, Hodkinson, McMillan, Robinson, Naseem and Ingle)...
