The panama guy Perdumo is just a rumour created by the danish media after the Haussler fight. They simply looked at the wba rankings and found the panamanian fighter ranked second, and jumped to the conclusion that he could be Kesslers next fight. I doubt that Taylor wants any part of Kessler... I think a Taylor-Hopkins III is more likely at this point. My guess is that he will face the Bika-Manfredo winner.
I think, personally, that Kessler is the best at the weight now that Calzaghe has stepped up. For me it is up to the rest to call Kessler out rather than him doing all the chasing. Anyone who wants to be ranked #1 in the division, in my book, needs Kessler - not the other way round.
Your probably right everybody we would like to see him in with has an excuse not to fight, the other champs like Bute, Froch/Pascal wont need him, he's unlikely to get one of the middleweight champs and as the biggest name Taylor might decide to take a safer route.
atsch Why the **** didn't I think of that? Seems so obvious now if a potential Jones/Bhop fight becomes untennable. I think Kesslers gonna get frozen out here. Froch would want to fight him but I have my doubts on wether he'll get by Pascal.
Think Maden also made a good point when he mentioned the winner of Bika/Manfredo as a potential opponent. Bika's favoured to win against Manfredo(he bloody should do,Manfredos ****!), would be acceptable quality without posing a huge threat to Kessler and is a just about recognizable name due to his contender victory. This of course true if Kessler is serious about gaining recognition in the states.
I'm wondering if thats what he intends to do. Or wether he''ll just think "**** it! I"ll just fight out of europe against euros and earn some easy paydays and let americans fight americans in america. Too much ****ing hassle!" I hope not however. Boxing is too businesslike nowadays.
