Last night he fought some guy with a 15-5 record and won by 4th round KO, do you think he will try to fight future Filipino star Abe Concepcion or possibly try to fight Rafael Marquez?.....He can still be a minor threat at 122 if he plays his cards right.
For me it was always his mechanics. It was beautiful to see him get cut down by a precision operator like Lopez. That was justice.
i like him. his style is a guily pleasure to watch, especially against some one taylor made for him. he starches concepcion as far as i'm concerned.
He fundamentals were always ****ing awful. He was able to overpower a lot of guys by just swarming and firing off hooks, but as JuanMa demonstrated, a tight defense and precision counter punching just **** him up. If he learned to box, like throw a ****ing jab for instance, or at least straighten out his punches and apply intelligent pressure (in the vein of Margarito or Angulo) he would fare much better. Till then he is going to KO b level guys, struggle against good boxers, and get knocked out or lose a lopsided UD to anyone who is a true technician.
