He's with Jay Z now surely he wants to get back out there and get rid of the rust.

You would think something will come soon.

    Depends what their plan is.

I just wish he'd start fighting 2 or 3 times s year and display that talent.

    An opponent probably.

Guess they don't want a top level guy but no pushover either.
But which fringe contender/gatekeeper wants to take an almost certain loss for a modest purse?

There isn't many worth while options. All the talent is in Europe and it'd take big money to draw them across the pond. Hopkins maybe? It's a stinker but who else is available?

Couldn't care less if Ward ever fights again or not. Both in and out of the ring, the guy leaves me cold.

Prima donnas are usually must-watch entertainers in whatever field they're in. Ward breaks the mould there; a guy with a sense of entitlement unbecoming of a man who fans can very much take or leave.

His sense of entitlement and self worth is staggering.

    A complete and utter brat.

SOB Ward has a fight with Stevenson if he gets up the nerve to take it. Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 168 if needed. When asked if he would fight Kovalev, Ward said that Kovalev is too big for him, yet Ward fought in the amateurs as a light heavyweight................Nobody wants to fight Ward in Ward's home town, with Ward's personal referee, judges, boxing commission and a small crowd of 2,000 fans is lucky. Ward gets all the money and his opponents are lucky to get training expenses, they always have to travel, Ward does not. Let Ward stay in the court room and complain..................a big fight with Stevenson is waiting for him................

He is been out for 18 months. He should come back in a low risk fight against a top 15 opponent. Then look for a statement fight.

He may have more options if he has a poor victory/looks bad in his come back fight

I have a theory that everyone has at least one fighter (on indeed footballer, or, say a critically acclaimed film) that everyone insists is world class and brilliant.... but that you've just never seen, for whatever reason. Must have been busy every single time SOG Ward has ever had a fight. not so much as seen the fella throw a punch or mutter a word. Is he actually real?

I'm starting to think he is no more real than James Stabler.

Agreed, Ward has too much for Stevenson.

That said though, how many challenges are there for Ward??? Stevenson is a very good fight in that sense, especially if Ward goes up to 175.
