It's a judgement call, people believe what they want. There are many articles with many ideas. Do I look like I give a ****? :smoke
Because America was so dominate years ago, you can see now though Europe's influence is ever increasing, we no longer care for their 'superfights' - UK fans watched, but were not wetting themselves at the prospect of Oscar - Floyd -fullstop- Europe have wised up, compared to 20 years ago -fullstop-
You are killing boxing by turning a blind eye to this criminal article -fullstop- There is only one tiny article about this genuine superfight (Hatton - Floyd) on the mainpage of the internet's biggest website -fullstop-
SO...what's the problem? In another 20 years...I don't understand what your point is...real fans know what's what...everyone else is just a passive consumer...whether it's boxing or WWF, it's all the same to them.
ESB articles are notoriously bad, from most points of view...none of us are here because of the articles on the front page...
When the fight's official, I'm sure there will be plenty of articles for you to read. For now, if it pleases you, go on and blame America's media over a single article. :-(
They have just responded to my posts by putting up a new article on the ESB mainpage -fullstop- I have them on the run -fullstop-
I dont mean to jump into the argument - but I would have to agree that I also throw some articles out the window. The article can only be as good as the person writing it, so a person cant always take it to heart. And for the record I also hope Hatton knocks PBF on his ass, I would love to see that (hope im not racist now too ). Anyways another big problem with boxing and why it has lost its luster is marketing (or lack thereof). Boxing used to be all over in the newspapers, sports illustrated, commercials, etc. Everyone would get hyped up for the next fight. They did a good job with the DLH/PBF fight and now they need to continue that with all the great fights coming up. Spend some $$$ and let everyone know how great of a matchup Pavlik/Taylor is - I guarentee it will pay off in the end. Cause the problem right now is that I can walk up to a big group of my friends and say "lets throw a shin-dig for the Taylor/Pavlik fight" and they will all say "who the hell are those guys?". We need more of the top guys' faces to be seen and recognized so that people will watch when they fight and in turn get into the sport more.
Here is another example of an American article stating the 'facts' for us http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=8120&more=1 to try and save the reputation of Johnson (whom American favorite Bernard Hopkins entire reputation is built on) -fullstop-
Who cares, China_hand_Joe? If I want analysis on a fight, I'll ask Amsterdam for example...I only look at the front page to find out who won!
"This dog end victory marks another black eye for British boxing." - what is that if it isn't someone trying to damage British boxing -question mark- Justin also sounds like an American name to me, like Justin Timberlake -fullstop-
