The fact is, Cotto is clearly the biggest threat. Floyd must make the fight happen if he gives a **** about his legacy.

This is the fight that has to happen, however unlike most i'm prepared to wait a while for it. Cotto is mayweather path to nearly the top 10 all time for me but at the moment it wouldn't be that big a victory.

However when cotto takes out the winner of margo v cintron and say clottley he for me becomes no1 at 147 over floyd. I know he won't be rated that by ring but in my mind he'll be the no1. Now the hype is like this at the moment for the cotto fight really based on the mosley victory but if cotto has another year to cement himself and improve slightly because i fell he can defensively, when he was an up and comer he had very good defence.

With cotto given that time he can really cement himself as a top line operator and in the top 3 p4p in my opinion. Then he becomes the greatest challenge mayweather has had by a long way, for me it would be the biggest welter fight since hearns leonard and like that fight the winner will truly be immortal and will allow floyd to make a lot of what he loves, the green stuff.
