Please list Cotto's top 4 wins. Please also tell me why you think he's a more talented fighter than Dawson.

Cotto's like Glen Johnson. He'll fight anyman in the world and has never ducked or avoided anyone. P4P I think both are about even skillwise. Do I really need to explain the resume advantage for Cotto? If so you overrate Dawsons victories incredibly:deal

He has always been a bit of a hidden gem. Until the postfight affect with the Dawson KO1 Ali type posts he has always been hugely underrated. I made a thread about this a while back i think saying that for a huge player in the 160-175 battle he is talked about rarely.

I think the Johnson fight has a bit to do with it, although he won it imo. ESB general forum revolves around Calzaghe vs Pavlik so i guess either side doesn't want to consider that there is a guy who could possibly give them big problems, so the Taylor, Pavlik vs Calzaghe, Kessler battle continues on consciously ignoring Dawson.

:rofl I think Reg, the only poster to say there is NO hype for Dawson overrates him just a "little"

He's just the new guy, give him 2 or 3 years, if he keeps it up he'll be p4p #1 and a star . . . Not to mention he has stepped on toes by beating peoples champ type fighters like adamek and glen johnson.

Please list Cotto's top 4 wins. Please tell me how many times he beat a champion for his belt.

There isn't that much hype for Dawson. He's not on many people's top 10 p4p lists. HBO doesn't even want to put this guy on there network. Please explain where Dawson is getting all this hype you're talking about.

Really? How come he balked at a fight with Mayweather at 140? How come his team balked on a fight with Williams after Williams beat Margo? He'll fight anyone as long it's part of the Top Rank marketing plan.

Really? At a similar age to Cotto, Dawson has won two titles. Cotto has also won two titles but they were both vacant straps. Skillwise, they are similar. Dawson's top 4 wins are on par with Cotto's(Dawson's may even be better). Despite this, one was in most people's top 5 p4p and was already being inducted into the HOF, the other is on basically no one's top 10 list and is stuck on the second rate Showtime network.

    Cottos resume:

    Corley
    Torres
    Malignaggi
    Quintana
    Judah
    Mosley

    Dawsons resume:
    Harding
    Adamek
    Johnson
    Tarver

Shall I start a thread on whos is stronger?

I never said Dawson had the stronger overall resume. My argument was limited to their top 4 wins. So don't try to change the argument. Furthermore, Pinto sucks and should be removed from your list.

I agree with Pinto, top 4 wins? Dawson only has 4 decent wins and Harding P4P isnt on level with any of Cottos top 4:deal

I have Cotto's top 4 as Paulie, Shane, Quintana, and Judah. Harding is above Paulie and maybe even Judah(at least Judah at the point when Cotto fought him.) Harding did beat Tarver, and Montell Griffin. He also gave Johnson and Prime Roy Jones a good fight before getting stopped. Paulie has never beat anyone on the level of Griffen or Tarver. Paulie is the most overrated fighter at 140.
