You're telling me urine tests detect less than 0% of HGH users? :think Pacquiao and Arum both stated they would be willing to supply urine every day throughout training.
Look at his post. He said blood has a higher detection rate. He then said that nobody has been caught by the IOC. Yeah, and then they said the NSAC had to decide what they thought was appropriate. No ****ing way in hell they're changing their protocol for just this one fight. In other words: Nevermind what we said before about doing anything more than what the NSAC normally does.
Pejevan just explained to you that not one athlete was caught using HGH for the past 3 Olympic games. That counts to hundreds of thousands of athletes. Do you know what that means? Btw, what roid do you think Pac is using and when did he start using it?
That was only after Mayweather or Schaefer or whoever the hell is actually making the decisions refused to back off their ridiculous demands.
Read his post again. He said that blood provides a higher detection rate for HGH. BTW, I haven't accused Pacquiao of using any "roid".
I read somewhere a while ago, but here is one article : http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/olympics/2008/writers/david_epstein/08/25/doping/index.html I am sure you can find more. Anyway those that are caught with HGH are idiots because they were never caught with the drugs in their blood but in their bags. Sylvester Stallone was caught at Sydney Airport as well as Kurt aingle, the former olympian and WWE wrestler. Marion Jones was caught with EPO in the first urine but the second one was negative. However, under the grand jury, he was implicated by her husband. It seemed that Marion jones was using cocktail PEDs in low doses to avoid detction as these drugs accentuate each other, sort of synergistic. Marion Jones actually was never proven using blood test. The last Beijing Olympics, IOC and WADA were trumpeting a newer blood test for HGH which they claimed was fool-proof. However, not a single athlete tested positive for HGH. Although WADA stores specimen for a certain period but still at present technology, not a single person was caught using blood.
You should probably double check that. I read earlier that GBP had made some sort of concession before Arum came back with, "let the NSAC decide".
While true that it provides higher detection rate in theory, in actuality, it never caught one. If you want to catch someone using HGH, you might as well live with the guy, and keep a watchful eye for 24 hours for several weeks.
Superior only in theory, but not in actuality. Zero is still zero no matter how you look at it. Urine test - Zero, Blood test - Zero. To give you an idea : how fast would the body metabolize HGH??? I cut and paste this one : "hGH is administered by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection. The circulating half-life of hGH is relatively short half-life (20-30 minutes), while its biological half-life is much longer (9-17 hours) due to its indirect effects." Half life means the actual drug not its metabolite, while biological half lofe is its effect whether though direct or by=product. So, it simply means that a person must take more than one blood test everyday just to have a less than 1 per cent detecting it.
There you go. Both zero detection. This fight will not happen because someone demands blood test to better detect HGH which in reality haven't detected anyone in the Olympics?!
Nevermind. I don't need an answer to the other one. I already have it. Since you seem to be pretty well read on this subject can you tell me what you think would be the absolute best possible protocol for detecting any and all PED's for a boxing match?
They demanded random blood tests because those clearly provide better PED detection than a couple of SCHEDULED **** tests. I don't recall hearing Floyd or anybody from GBP mentioning HGH detection at all.
just how much blood would they extract before the fight? are we talking about a whole syringe? or just a ***** of a blood? maybe pac's team was thinking about a whole syringe and that he's prone or had cases of anemia before? How much blood really is required for a test? It doesn't matter if mayweather would undergo the exact same thing, but some people are just more prone to anemia, but if the sample size would be just a ***** from his finger then it shouldn't be a problem.
Why was Mayweather not tested when he went up and outoboxed De La Hoya? What weight did Mayweather start at, which division did that take place in? COULD MAYWEATHER HAVE BEEN ON SOMETHING? You know what, in hindsight he probably was.
