Honestly if he does get KOed I really wouldn't be surprised if he starts fighting like Wlad, he has the tools to do so.
I don't think so. The guy loves to scrap, he lives for brawling. I think if anything he'd put a greater emphasis on going for the KO before he gets KO'd. AJ understands his marketability. If he adopted boring tactics he'd lose the majority of his fanbase which is largely comprised of football casual fans.
Maybe a defeat would ruin him, it has for certain fighter others it hasn't, it's made them. Personally I believe he could be better after a defeat, it actually might take a hell of lot of pressure off him.
in his mid-30s when his tank is half depleted, not yet. It'll be the beginning of the end, if he hasnt already by then said hes on the way out.
Hard to say how a fighter will respond to defeat. Some will fall apart mentally and either retire soon after while for others it spurs them on to improve and find another way to succeed. Maybe AJ having made more money than most will ever need will retire or maybe it forces him to become a more complete fighter and he goes on to avenge his losses and go on to dominate.
Well Joshua doesn’t have the brains of Wladimir and a coach like Emanuel Steward to become what Wlad did after the losses. So no. Anthony will win a couple of easy fights and then lose again getting schooled by Usyk.
although to be fair, Joshua hasnt been easily koed in seconds by a failed retired guy who did nothing in his career, and other middlers, either. So its academic what he might do, based on what hasnt had to deal with because hes too good to have to.
Exactly. AJ doesn’t expect to go undefeated his whole career. He accepts he will lose and will deal with it like the majority of fighters do. Only the haters are desperate to see AJ lose and then fall apart.
I'd like to see Usyk school Joshua I really would, but after the Breidis fight and the struggle he had at times I think Joshua catches him in 3/4 rounds and gets him out of there. I think it might look easy too. Again, hope i'm wrong !
I think the biggest impact of AJ being KO'd will be felt on this forum quite honestly, the casuals fans will of course write him off as a hype job etc etc. It's interesting what Lewis says about his best and most defining fight.. his KO loss to Rahman. What it amounts too is this, casual fans of boxing will either feel betrayed if they like him, or delighted if they dislike him. None of which matters, because it would be up to AJ on how to respond to a loss.
