Did boxers back in the early days of gloved fighting, such as the Sullivan / Corbett eras, wrap their hands at all or just put on gloves over a bare hand? Do you know when they first started using gauze? A friend from my gym is writing a novel that involves a boxer in the late 1890's, so I'm trying to find this out on his behalf.
