What it really means is that most of us didn't realize that Stiverne was so sick physically before the fight and could barely engage Wilder during the fight. Just like Manny vs Mayweather. If we all knew, we would've altered our predictions.

I believed that Stiverne was a terrible style match-up for Wilder anyways, and really didn't care who won Manny v Mayweather, but knowing the injury details would still alter expectations dramatically.

I call BS on Stiverne's illness. He just got dominated by Wilder. Besides Stiverne always fought the same way but he just couldn't catch and hurt Wilder.

If you're so convinced that Stiverne was ill, you should also acknowledge that Wilder beat him with a bad right eye and beat him up still after breaking his right hand in the 3rd round.

You should read the OP's post. He's making it sound like Duhaupas is more than a euro level scrub :)

He was in the hospital for several days due to the issue and was officially diagnosed. This conspiracy/accusation of lying against any injured fighter is really too much.

Yeah I read about that but it sounds like a bad excuse.

A win over Duhaupas would elevate Wilder´s status to "Euro Level".

You are all missing the point. Stiverne is a fat **** who was stopped in 4 by Demetrice King. we now know for a FACT that Wilder is not as good as prime Demetrice King.

I picked Stiverne to ko Wilder. Handily in fact. I give him credit and was wrong about him. I still expect him to be eventually ko'd by Wlad and would pick Povetkin to ko him as well. I definitely rate him in the top 5 though.

Well, but you're an honest fan of the sport. I agree entirely. He's top 8 at least and a threat against anyone due to his power.

Stiverne was not much of a threat to Demetrice King.

The fight told us that Wilder does not have Demerice King type power.

Wilder's "championship" run has been an absolute joke. The only Galway decent fighter he's fought is Stiverne. That's a decent win, but a guy calling himself a champion and talking about sharing a ring with Tyson and Ali should have at LEAST 10 Stiverne level wins.
He may step it up or improve, but as of right now he is the worst champ ever imo

    :smoke

I picked Stiverne then changed my mind after seeing the
Showtime pre-fight hype and Stiverne was eating giant
plates of greasy pasta and sausages!!!

Looked slow and fat hitting the heavy bag
and gassing after a couple punches...

all that grease in his veins...

Looked like a Dustin Donut Nichols training camp!!

    :silly
