Haye will be punching up WAY up and that is going to effect his power and stamina. Haye is not going to win on the scorecards unless he can score multiple knockdowns. I see a tired Haye getting KOed by Valuev in about the 9th round. Haye has nowhere to go if he loses this fight he has painted himself into a corner with his stupid antics.
Haye isnt any different to any other opponent Valuev has fought - at his height he's a typical heavyweight.
The man who can eat him? :rofl Valuev is feather fisted, just a circus act the guy doesn't even know how to fight. He wins fights for going in there disgusting the people with his physique and alienated appearance, he doesn't entertain with his ability in ring, he entertains walking to the ring. The guy wins decisions in Germany for throwing jabs to the air and only that. The only reason Chagaev got a decision, and a bull**** one, is because Chagaev was also associated there, otherwise they were going to rob his ass too.
This is true but Evander Holyfield was a much more complete boxer than Haye is he had good defense and a lot more skills in offense than Haye does. I'm not saying Haye can't be a good heavyweight but he has a lot to improve first and then needs to prove himself against quality opposition. Maybe a KO at the hands of Valuev might be the wake up call he needs but he has had a easy run to the top and I have no idea how he managed to be ranked 3rd after 2 weak heavyweight fights.
Hayes later career against better opposition isn't about 1 punch KO's. He gets the KO by stunning the opposition then takes them out with very heavy handed punching. It's a style that his team seem to favour. If you watch George Groves fight, your looking at a mini David Haye.
valuev is not that slow for his massive size and reach advantage. He has a decent jab, i just dont see how haye overcomes the strength and size difference. Haye isnt the type of fights to dance and potshot his opponent to a UD. He sits down on his punches and throws bombs which he wont be able to do against the much bigger valuev without catching something in return.
Given that Haye has as weak a chin as he does, it was a smart career move for him to take on Valuev rather than either Klitschko brother.

You must be joking how can you possibly already be making excuses for when he loses. If he loses it is because Valuev is BETTER than him. I know its a difficult concept to get but British sportsmen are NOT invincible
The thing that is making some David Haye backers a little wary is that Valuev has never been down, is proven at HW, and can go the full 12 rounds with no problems. Haye's stamina has been in question on the losing haul ever since Carl Thompson stopped him but Haye did get some 12 round decision wins anyways, it's just that those were dominant wins. I think Haye will beat Valuev by UD and prove himself at HW but it is a real test.
Well Haye is testing himself against at least the biggest fighter out there. It would depend how he lost as to whether he is ridiculed. If he's blown away in a round then I imagine things at heavy are over for him. If he puts up a brave effort in a fight where he stumbles or even decks Valuev then he can bounce back quite easily.
