how is dawson green? you cant blaim him for the division he is in theres not much in the light heavy and he has beatin the top guys you think of in that division tarver and johnson not to mention ademak. so to me he is not green there was no other big fight to take but tarver in a rematch cuz calzaghe retired so a hopkins fight would be next but i dont see him loseing to old hopkins who is a great fighter but his match wit pavlik just fit his style you see when he fought jermain he was younger and strong no difference here

 

well he's 26 and he's starting to build on experience but i think he will reach his prime in 2 or 3 years once he has defended his title against a couple of mandatories.

 

agree. but i think he will hold his own against top guys. there is one guy out there named tavoris cloud who i would like to see in a mandatory last time i seen him fight he fought julio gonsalez and beat him down cloud is 19- 18ko

 

Dawson would beat B-hop for the first 6 rounds after that B got a chance.

 

im with ya cannibus i don't see how dawson will dominate someone as savvy as hopkins. His movement and use of angles will completely offset dawson who won't be able to get his combinations off to body or head. Hopkins will also take advantage of that low right hand and leaky defense of dawsons

Just hope the fight doesnt take too long to come off, Hopkins biggest battle is with age, he has done amazing so far but how long at his advanced age is he going to be able to be competative, he might have another couple of fights left hopefully, the Pavlik fight showed he still has it at elite level, and I think he can take Dawson, but we've seen fighters get old over night and lets face it, its long over due.

 

I would be shocked if this fight happened and even more shocked if Hopkins won it but I've been wrong about him before so I'll keep my mouth shut

 

if Hopkins fights like he did against Pavlik i see an upset in the making...

 

Hope they can work out a deal for this. But if GBP is gonna offer 500K like they did to Adamek, i don't see why Dawson would take it. After Hopkins wins, he needs to retire, who else is there out there after Dawson?

 

Dawson decisions Hopkins. He's a natural light heavy, has speed and workrate comparable to Calzaghe.
