I would say that he is more of a troll. brewster was a hell of a fighter, a great guy, exciting- all around good for boxing. I not only enjoyed his figths, but I liked his interviews when he talked about things like how positive rap music saved his life. I wish we had more men with a message in the sport. I kind of wish that he retires for his health, but if he keeps fighting, then I wish him all the luck in the world.
Brewster/Liakhovich--easily the best heavyweight fight of this decade--appears to have effectively ended both guys careers. Brutal war.
i never thought much of him other than he can take a shot. he was out classed in both of his fights with wlad. even though he came away with a victory some how.
He was supposed to be fighting the Finnish guy Happoja on the Valuev/Chagaev card that fell through. Personally, I'm of the opinion that Lamon should have called it quits after his desultory performance in the Klitschko rematch. He won't get another shot at either Klitschko and he's so far in the rear-view mirror of the division that he wouldn't even be considered as an opponent for most challengers let alone the champions.
In his prime, Brewster was exceptionally durable and he had one punch kayo power in both hands. I think the people on this board who denigrate Brewster aren't being realistic.
Brewster went through the motions against Sprott, a durable fighter but a guy you'd expect him to stop at some point though it was only an 8 rounder. His next fight is against a Nigerian fighter with a 16-1 record and it's in Germany.
I'm a huge Brewster fan. It was nice to see hum back in the ring beating Sprott last time out. Lets see him active again at a decent weight and in some more thrilling fights.
I'm a Brewster fan too but the Lyhakovich fight left him damaged goods. He had already taken a career's worth of punishment in his fights against Wlad, Meehan, and Krasniqi and that was before he stepped in the ring with Sergei.
Yeah, I agree, but I thought he showed glimpses of........well.......something against Sportt. There were some fairly decent combinations thrown and who know, perhaps we can see him in a crossroads fight down the line. He's not got enough to win a title any more but he obviously loves to fight.
