It's kind of funny...Pac's one of my favorites and I don't care for Mayweather, but I saw Pacquiao get hit with a lot of straight right hands from Joshua Clottey when he threw them. If you're going to say Pacquiao wins because Ortiz landed some good punches and flurried with Mayweather on the ropes, you have to bring up Pac getting hit too by straight right hands to keep it fair. Both would have a lot of problems with the other fighter. At this point, they are the only two who can really win rounds against the other among fighters at welterweight.

I am a Pacman fan myself. Yes Pacman is easy to hit, in fact Floyd will coast to SD or UD against Pacman if he will fight on back foot.

But the Floyd that showed on Ortiz fight will surely get tagged a lot. And that leaning away with high guard on the ropes will be Floyd's disaster. Ducking below the belt won't help him either, Pacman will take off his ear lobes and rib cage if he will do that.

The only question is if Floyd got enough sting to discourage Pacman. Pacman has been known to go to war bloodied and refuses to go down.

 

I don't see this fight as a walk in the park for Mayweather like some do. If he does beat Manny, he's going to have to dig very deep to do so. Manny makes you fight.

Just because punches are more dangerous doesn't mean they are harder. But still, yeah, an argument can be made that Pac hits harder than Ortiz.
