    roy jones tested positive for PED's when he fought richard hall.

    what must have been going through roy's head the moment he decided to cross the line and cheat?
    what made him think he needed to use PED's?

    i could understand it more, if it had been any of roy's opponents for his light heavyweight title, but roy? he was the undisputed champion and the top pound for pound fighter in the world.
    he was beating guy's one handed, why look for an edge and risk his career, when he just did'nt need to do it?

    any idea's?

    he wasn't thinking anything different to his previous fights, it was just the 1st time he was tested as a pro.

    No Jones apologist here, but Ripped Fuel was marketed heavily in the US at that time. If one gives him the benefit of the doubt and takes him at his word, that's not a huge deal. And, like Headbanger points out, he was likely using it for years.

    However, people more in the know than I claim that Ripped Fuel would not cause that high of a testosterone level. Just as likely he was using steroids, and likely for years.
