Just wondering when was the last time Sky had a world title fight involving a Brit on regular Sky? I can't think of one in the last 2/3 years. And I'm just thinking and am slightly worried that any British boxer that wins a genuine world title nowadays will be put straight on to PPV.

I should imagine it was Clinton Woods defending the IBF.

Thanks I wasn't that bigger boxing fan back then so can't really remember further back then the last two years, but have to say with the way boxing is going I can see our future champs (especially FW boxers) being only on PPV .

O lawd. You serious?!?! The WBF is still quite popular around those neck of the woods. I think the sanctioning body is based over there somewhere. Im just glad that title is hardly contested on these shores. What a piece of **** belt. I mean seriously why would you pay money to contest that crap?

I think it must be Witter vs Harris.

Trying to think of world title fights involving Brits that weren't on Setanta since that time - there are very few!

Obviously Hennessy has been with ITV - Froch vs Pascal was on ITV1.

Sadly yes, the best thing that could happen to boxing is if these bs belts just disapeared I don't have a problem with the big 4 belts but WBU, WBF, IBA, IBO (even if I do like their rankings) are just a drag on the sport.
It's good to see that things are getting done properly here now and I really do enjoy watching fights like this Fridays that are for a genuine title that holds genuine prestige and no for the WBU or some bs inter-continental title. God I hope Ricky doesn't try and bring those belts back hopefully the Shitton-N'dou fight is a one off.

Well as delighted as I am to see that I would still like to see a little more from Sky on that front (their domestic coverage has been top notch this year). They should show all of HBO World Championship Boxing as a bare minimum, if they did I would subscribe straight away.

Someone at Sky clearly doesn't have a ****ing clue.

Floyd vs Marquez and Pac vs Cotto both on regular..... Khan vs Salita PPV..... Hatton vs N'Dou on at all
