When / Why did Buncey stop posting here?

Dont know why everyone is acting so surprised? Cliques, ego's a part of nearly all forums around the world. Dont know why people get pissed off by it as it comes off as being jealous of posters who just talk between each other, those who are elite. If you make a valid point which you can back up then most times it will be appreciated as a good post.

Most probably from knobs here trying to act tough on the internet, there are enough of them. You would think looking at Bunce he has thick skin and its water off a ducks back but clearly not.

It seems there is a new clique in town and its the people that hate the old clique, it's the cool fad at the moment apparently.

    6 out of 10.
    Not a bad post mate.
    I know.
    You know.
And the whole of society knows.
That, you could have tried harder to validate that post into an elite ESB scripture and you could have had all your peers flocking to the British forum to glimpse your modern literature here in the Bunce thread.

:blood Huh? I didn't call you that, nor did I say I agreed with that description of yourself, so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here.

I can definitely see that emerging. I never really had a problem with the cliquiness of the forum. Certain posters I didn't like, particularly the ones abusing the posters they disagreed with, but generally a lot of quality, knowledgable posters have left and the standard of the British forum has declined.

I would guess : either Buncey got sick of having his butt-kissed so much on here ..... or he got upset because not everyone was down with kissing his butt.

Alternatively, maybe he has better things to do.

Its a shame really, I never really noticed a clique, maybe I was part of it ? I don't know? I do think some of the things been said is unfair, I think it's up to every individual poster to contribute, if they don't want to post in case they get ridiculed then that's on them, they need to grow a pair and mix in. Who gives a **** if somebody disagree's it's only the internet.
We are all here for the boxing (well most of us anyway) that should be the number 1 priority imo.

I definitely noticed a clique, but really it was just the core regular posters. Most forums will develop that, and if the previous posters don't come back a new one will develop. Some people might feel like outsiders, but as you said, it's up to them to contribute, and if they post regularly and sensibly I'm sure they'd be accepted.

Thank you kind sir, I can only wish that implementing a system on where posts are rated out of 10 and analysed can become part and parcel of this forum one day.

This is how I saw it. There was a core group of (and I'm guessing here..) 20 or so posters that made most of the posts/threads on the forum but I don't get the accusations that 'newbies' or outsiders were made to feel unwelcome or told to '**** off' if they had differing views on certain things.

Ero makes a very good point about Laz who got shitloads of stick at first for only being an Amir Khan fan. I see that with a lot of boxing forums, people pulling out the 'you've only being watching boxing for a year' card but failing to remember that everyone has to start somewhere.

Boxing forums in general don't seem that welcoming to people that are new to the sport which is a joke seeing as it's not the most popular sport around and needs every fan it can get.

Its a valid point that everyone has to start somewhere. But surly if you are a new fan to the sport, you have to show respect to those my knowledgble? (Respect works both ways i know)

You wouldnt rock up in a new job and start mugging off the dude who has been doing it for 10 years? Why should it be acceptable over the internet?

I was a long time lurker of the site before i joined up.. There was a definate clique going on. so many threads would turn "insider" & you wouldnt have a clue what was going on.. They probably didnt even realise they were doing it to be fair.

The "new" forum is a bit like that.

Laz was always mah'boy. He got more hate from the General than in here from what I remember to be fair. I used to have his back(no homo) when that Jerome dude was kicking off(where'd he go by the way?).

Bunce is a grown up man with a job and everthing. Has it not occurred to you he might have better things to do than squabble with pindicks on the internet? It's not about being thick skinned or otherwise, I think it's more about whether something is actually fun. If you get mobbed the whole time then where's the fun?
