Yeah they definately have space for that many at Twickers but, like I said, there was big time opposition to the planning permission for concerts from local residents and that's why the capacity was restricted to 55k. I'd be really suprised if they could go any higher than that, and if it's going to be 55k it might as well be at the City of Manchester.

Dublin is a good shout, that would be mega. Actually the playing surface is huge at Croke, I wonder what capacity they could manage there for a boxing event?

    Pffft.....

Probably about 100k, similar to Wembley.

If it can accomodate union, the ingoal areas have to be massive, so the grass surface will be 140m x 80, which is larger than Wembley.

Yeah but it doesn't just accomodate rugby, it accomodates gaelic football and a gaelic football pitch is bigger than a rugby pitch.

    Is it really?

Because a rugby field is 100m long, plus the in-goal zones of about 15m each............

Wikipedia says "A Gaelic football pitch is similar in some respects to a rugby pitch but considerably larger. The grass pitch is rectangular, stretching 130–145 metres long and 80–90 metres wide"

Manny's last 10ish fights have all been in the USA. he trains here and makes his payday here. The fight will be in the states. it will sell out here in a heartbeat, there wont be any available seats. The crowd will be crazy. The crowd was loud last night for Manny.

I hope it will be there next fight, but honestly the way boxing works now, hard to tell.

I think it will be here to be honest - why bother having everyone trail over to the States?

Roach could work with Amir Khan in Manchester, and have Pac there as well.

Both could pay for the sparring to be brought over.

There were 15000 there last night. A fight in London would get six times that.
