Hagler's loss to Boogaloo happened before I have any concrete sports memories. Leonard was the only fight I actually saw him lose, so the other loss slips my memory. I usually need a reminder Hagler had more than one loss.
Jones-Tarver was sickening. I wasn't a Vargas fan, but was rooting for him against Tito. I really felt bad for him that night. Now that time has passed I now understand it was too much too soon for him...makes it worse.
Far from my favorite fighter but Chavez Jr getting schooled for 11 rounds kind of sucked. I was hoping for a better fight.
I hated Feroz once. Now I realise what a fantastic talent he was and feel bad about how I used to feel. 154 has always been a bit of a stop off division but Feroz went right at it and lit it up. I think Canelo's team realise that Feroz stepped up a bit too quickly, and I suspect they think of him quite a lot.
For me it was when Tommy Hearns was busting Iran Barkley up & close to stopping him in the 3rd round when BOOM Iran's left hook found the mark..........another is when Jeff Fenech out brawled Azumah Nelson, nealry stopping him in th elast only to be given a draw.......not a loss I know but Fenech was never the same fighter after that.
What a horrible existence you must lead. Characters in books? Movies? Famous figures? Nothing of the sort gives you feelings of empathy? It is hardly altruistic; boxing is fun to watch. But to say you need help because you care about someone who doesn't know you is just being a wannabe tough guy. EDIT: On topic, Jones losing, pretty much everytime since Tarver. Watching Tyson-Douglas and hearing people talking about being "exposed". Gatti-Mayweather. Michaels vs Undertaker at WM25 AND 26.
I was very upset when Oscar and Cotto lost to Pac. Took pretty bad beating both of them. I'm not that much of an Oscar fan by now though.
Gatti vs Mayweather made me want to throw up watching it live. Gatti losing to Gomez was tough too. Katsidis losing most of his big fights sucked, I really liked he guy. (There's more but I just wanted to keep this post short) Not my fav fighters, but when Casamayor got a gift SD of Santa Cruz that pissed me off bad, I didn't want to watch boxing for awhile (but I failed because I love boxing).
Worst devastation was watching The Leafs blop a 3 goal lead with 9 minutes to go in the 3rd to be eliminated by the Bruins, who are now up 3-0 over the Rangers. The what ifs with that team man, trumps anything I've seen in a boxing ring.
