Ali had a very big fight with Canadian George Chuvalo, but also had an even bigger fight in England against British fighter Joe Bugner.
Shavers was still at Yates as late as 2005. He is also deeply involved in charity work and does some preaching. He looks like he is happy and healthy.
Ali never fought Bugner in England. The first fight they had was in Las Vegas, the second was Malaysia. You're probably thinking about Henry Cooper.

Yeah he's got like the biggest smile ever, a genuine one, one time when i was about 18/19, i was pissed out me mind and we were leaving Yates', it was Christmas and there was loads of us, i waited till all the lads were leaving and then ran over to him and said something like 'its an honour', then started laughing my head off and he laughed aswell, shook my hand and then i got off!
Not sure if this is how you spell his name or if he even went by this name when he was fighting, but i boxed a little bit when i was younger, and a guy always came in our gym, a local guy, everyone in Liverpool knows him as Sugar, and his surname is Jibileru (not sure about the spelling sorry), im sure my mum said his first real name was Manny, but anyway i was told he was British MW champ which would likely have been over 10 years ago now, he's a taxi driver now anyway.
He was training Butterbean. Not sure exatly what he's doing now. Probably training fighters in the States.
Murray Sutherland training Butterbean! I can't help but laugh at that. I mean Sutherland lost most of his biggest fights, but he was a serious contender and a damn good test. Butterbean was a freaking sideshow attraction. Seems like an odd combination.
Yeah, IBF super-middleweight champion who fought Hearns and Spinks. He's from Edinburgh here in Scotland.
I always remember Gibiliru won the British title on Fight Night and him saying straight to the camera "the big money's on the way now, baby". Felt awful for him when he lost in his ifrst defence to John Doherty. Super-feather it was.
