Yes. He's still as nice as pie. One of the last times I spoke to him he said he was off to the US to film a documentary with Holmes, Holyfield and Norton. I haven't heard anything of it since. :think
Johnny Stracey lives up here now and can be found in my local now and again. He's mates with the owner Tommy "The Bomb" Jones (former pro and rock music freak). It's a good boozer. Bet not many people's local pub has a framed photo of Alfonso Zamora vs Socrates Batoto on the wall as you walk in.
He can be uncompromising if you overturn one of the tables in the establishment. The experiment has been tried.
I can imagine. :yep Actually, I'm intending on stopping by Yates's for one this Friday so i'm hoping he's working.
Bunch of good names on his resume'. He fought Spinks twice:yikes He also took James "The Heat" kinchen's zero away from him, and handed Alex Ramos his 2nd loss.
Audley Harrison is now doing poetry readings at a variety of establishments around the country :rofl:rofl:rofl
Thanks for sharing. Sosa was a tough mother****er. Had a head like a rock. Whatever happened to Donald Curry?
Training fighters somewhere. Vegas, If I remember correctly. He was on a boxing show a couple of years back talking about his career, etc.
Norton got into a really bad single car accident. No one knows exactly what happened, including Norton because he suffered brain damage in the incident and his memory is impaired. He actually made a good recovery, since in some things that I read doctors never expected him to be able to walk again, but Norton can get around with a cane and speak, although it takes him awhile. Prison. He assaulted his live in girlfriend really badly. He's been in for awhile, and will continue to be for a long time. Out of curiosity, does anyone know what exactly is Chavez' situation these days? I know he's still involved in boxing, (does some commentary I believe, maybe training too), and I've seen him around in some of the big Mexican fights, (he came into the ring to congratulate Margarito after the Cotto win, for example) but does anyone know what his financial/personal life is like these days? Does he still have debt and drug woes hanging over his head?
Nigel Benn lives in the Canary Islands as a preacher and donates much of his time and money to the under-privilaged after depression and a suicide attempt caused him to re-avaluate his life.
