As much as i like Froch i don't see him winning the super 6. Where does he go after this tournament? does he move up to 175 and have potentially thrilling fights with pascal and cloud or stay at 168 and wait for kessler to comeback. Also there is the possibility of fighting degale or cleverly in big domestic fights. so, what next for the cobra? :thumbsup
Hard to say what the wars take out of him -- the smurf is the big test, he should have little problem with Ward. He'll move up...& probably lose Pascal II. No way will he fight Degale/Clev -- that's the same as him calling out Joe
Are you seriously saying Froch should have little problem with Ward?? After Froch - Dirrell, Ward - Kessler and Froch - Kessler, how could Ward not be a big favorite in a Ward - Froch showdown??
Assuming he falls short in the Super 6, he has plenty of options. The Abraham fight will likely be good enough that people will want to see a re-match. When Kessler comes back, that re-match is also a natural. If he moves to 175, he can walk straight into a fight with the Ring Champion. His competition over the past couple of years has been stellar and I expect that to continue.
He'll beat Abraham, lose closely to Ward, which will not do his reputation much harm. Then moves up to light heavy, challenges Pascal, which he could win depending on his condition at that point. Then perhaps, depending if he still has the hunger, finish off with a money spinning all British classh against Cleverley.
Ward is the most adaptable fighter at 168 and I don't like him at all. Don't you think Ward knows what Froch brings to the table and prepares for that? Froch got lucky against Taylor and Dirrell and lost to Kessler. Froch is good and tough as nails, but Ward is a complete and very smart fighter.
