I hope this stirs some thoughts up. I rate him very highly personally.

Very highly, I think there's a good case for havinghim as the greatest Lightweight ever, but I do feel there is a tendancy to overlook the blemishes on his record.

Yeah- You'll like this I think he would beat the breaks off most fighters at 135lbs. Wanna know why this applies to him and not Burns vs Vitali?
Because the film shows us how good he is or potentially could be.

You'd also expect his era to produce good small men, since there were plentiful small, economically marginal people around. Mostly fit ones in a minimally motorized society.

Nice cop out kid but my Pa actually was Shakeys chief trainer and they used to chain the car to his bike and have him scale the most vertical hill they could find for an hour.

Judging from his legs, I can only assume that the hill was literally 90 degrees.

Lol you really have been catered to Modern training- That's light work sometimes they would have him parallel to the ground. They don't make them like they used to.

That moment when you realize old-timey boxers have become the "wise old chi masters" of their combat art.

Top ten ATG based on achievements, record and skills, but maybe a little lower in the 135 pound class.
You have Leonard, Duran, Canzoneri, Whittaker, Ortiz, Chavez Sr, both Pac and Floyd fought at 135. Amazing group.
