Ali never went to prison. That is basically what his legacy is all about. He beat the Draft by claiming he was a "conscientious objector". Of course, he beat people up for a living.

Anyone who rates Ali as the GOAT P4P is an idiot, at least for P4P rankings. Who won the middleweight championship four times, beat Kid Gavilan twice in arguably the greatest win of all time, beat Lamotta five times, Graziano, Fullmer, Angott, Marty Servo, Fritzie Zivic, and has the claim to be not only the GOAT welterweight but also the GOAT middleweight? Oh yeah, Sugar Ray Robinson, the real GOAT.
And Henry Armstrong who held the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight titles at once?? He would've held the middleweight title too if not for a draw with Ceferino Garcia. My number 2
What about Harry Greb who fought over two hundred fights, dominated lightheavyweights and heavyweights Gene Tunney, Kid Norfolk, Tiger Flowers, Mickey Walker, Tommy Loughran, and Tommy Gibbons, and is recognised by many as the middleweight GOAT? #4 for me
Or Willie Pep who gave a close fight to Sammy Angott, beat fighters such as Paddy Demarco, Sandy Saddler, Chalky Wright 3x, Willie Joyce, who went 3-1 with murderous puncher Ike Williams, and accomplished much of this after a plane crash? My number 3
I have Ali at #5 and #1 at heavyweight. Anyone who puts him as the greatest of all time is an idiot or is disrespecting fighters like Robinson, Armstrong, Greb, Pep, etc.

I pretty much agree with this except for the "idiot" part. People can have different opinions and not be an "idiot".

    1. Harry Greb
    2. Sugar Ray Robinson
    3. Henry Armstrong
    4. Sam Langford
    5. Ezzard Charles
    6. Muhammad Ali
Muhammad Ali actually could be ahead of Ezzard Charles potentially, especially given he was past prime in the 70's AND had the onset of Parkinsons.
Muhammad Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Don't really understand this 'was never prime' argument, you can only jusge a fighter on what they actually produced. His prime was his prime, regardless of age.

He's an ATG and he'd comfortably make the top 5 or 10 on almost any list.

People who waste their time on P4P lists need a slap on their johnson. What a load of BS. "If Ali was smaller... If Charles was bigger... If my auntie had ***** she'd be my uncle..."

Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time and the biggest star boxing ever had or ever will have. Everything else comes after that.

That's not what P4P is. In P4P you don't shrink heavyweights and match them up against lightweights in hypothetical matchups.
