The first man to beat Cotto without cheating was Antonio Margarito. He made the :| prima donna kneel in surrender.
Him and Pacquiao are somewhere around top 40 for the last hundred and fifteen years. It's hard to rank anyone before that because of how sptotty the record keeping was.
if he wins i think hes top 15-20, some could have him top 10. loses hes top 30-40. I put him top 15 and close to top 10. its very very hard to go thru 130 years of boxing and put ppl in, its so crazy! but what Mayweather would have done in his career has not been matched and wont be from here on out AT ALL!!
You're correct that he's above DLH, Calzaghe and Mosley. He'd also rank above Morales, Barrera, Marqez and Wlad however. Behind Pacquiao, RJJ, and probably Hopkins.
He's already ahead of Pacquiao and after he beats him it separtes them for good. I love RJJ but RJJ isnt close to Floyd on the ATG list. I mean Floyd has fought over 20+ champs, I like RJJ and in his prime he was the best ever IMO but theres not many fighters you can name on his resume at all compared to Floyd. Hopkins is a close one, thats for sure.
Prove it or apologize . Ive asked Nazim Richardson & the CSAC neither had one iota of proof Tony EVER cheated . Yet you KNOW he did. C'mon big mouth back it up or STFU & apologize
I know Floyd ranks above that piece of ****, Antonio Margarito. That bum will be forgotten in 20 years unless a conversation about bricks is brought up
How can you rate Floyd above Tony??? Floyd was scared stiff of him In 20 yrs Floyd wil be forgotten & on skid row if he's still alive. Floyd resume reads Cowardly woman beater & prima donna Excellent boxing skills cojones of a gnat
Margarito hasn't beaten anybody. Every win he has before Mosley has an asterisk next to it. So Antonio Margarito's great resume comprises of Mosley L TKO Garcia W UD Pacquiao L UD Cotto L TKO wow what a great resume. He wouldn't even make the hall of fame in Tijuana
I rank him the same place I rank Sven Otke. I generally dont rank fighters high with a carefully managed career.
If he had cleared out the loaded WW division circa 2006-2009 he would be way up there. Instead he ducked everyone.
I put Mayweather easy as day in the top 50. Anyone who doesn't is a fool... He's inside the top 25 for sure to me. Outside the top 10 though. As usual it takes years after they're done for proper reflection.
