What can he do to improve, if anything? He improved his fitness but his actual boxing skills let him down. What can he do?
Wait, wait, wasn't Lemieux superhypped here on ESB as the second coming of the GOAT at MW? atsch Oh thats right...that torch has been passed to Pirog now, silly me :!: If I could only find those threads where they said that Martinez was dodging Lemieux to see who it was.
I could link you to some of those threads because I posted in a few of them. I don't want to embarrass anyone though so I'm not going to. I warned those guys at the time that Rubio was the real deal. After seeing how he got himself in great shape for last night though I thought Lemieux would blow him out of there. I guess his power has been vastly overated. Looks like he's heading for a journeyman career. Real shame.
Russ Anber is a class act, there had to be a good reason he left David and said David wasn't taking his career seriously. I think the tools are still there for David to become a great champion level fighter. He just needs the right people around him because mentally he's not heading in the right direction.
Not to stir controversy... but where's Lemieux's power lately? Where's the destructive force? This year's performances make those fancy KOs look a little suspect. I mean Alcine was wild, average handspeed, known for a shaky chin and David gets fooled... But he comes to fight and fun to watch so don't be too hard on the kid for not having more talent. He and Angulo/Kirkland would make a great war and a nice payday for Lemieux, hope one of those fights come to fruition soon.
