So none his top 4 victories were impressive to you? Do you believe, like many others(myself included) then, that he beat DLH?

Nelson was a top 10 P4P fighter and pretty much the same size as Whitaker, it was by no means a mis-match in that regard and it would've been the same P4P, as they were, once again, basically the same size. He completely dominated Nelson, it's one of the most impressive displays of boxing off the backfoot in the history of the sport.

Chavez was 142 for the fight, Whitaker was 145, noone had a real size advantage, and Whitaker was fighting above his prime weight the same way Chavez was, so I don't see why you find the win unimpressive. Chavez was #1 P4P in the world at the time.

McGirt was top 5 P4P when Pea beat him the first time, and still top 10 when he dominated him in the rematch. Rankings wise, that's a better win than any on Floyd's resume for example, and a very good win, especially considering Whitaker was the smaller man.

But still, I must ask, what was his biggest win for you if none of those? I can't fathom really.

whitaker is in my top 15 ATG. He had skill, finesse, was entertaining and fought the best fighters around.

i actually thought his 2nd fight versus mcgirt was one of his more impressive victories ... much of the early part of the fight was the flat-footed pea we saw later in his career where he would stand right in front of the other guy and use reflexes to dodge shots rather than his legs

plus as an aside let me add that i love his ring entrance in that fight when he entered to craig mack's flava in ya ear and you can just tell he is just soaking up all the adulation at the scope

ok, i admit i love sweet pea

His biggest win was against Chavez. That draw was crap. JCC was my childhood idol but he clearly lost that boring ass fight. Pea fought smart and did what he knows. Chavez was on his decline already though. Had Pea taken the fight 2 years earlier it would have played out different. Not saying JCC would have won but it would have been a better fight for the fans to watch. But in no way did Pea (beat) Chavez he just won a boring ass fight.

exactly, he was on his bike. . pitter pat jabbing and running for 12 boring rounds. Chavez didnt fight smart though and didnt cut off the ring. At least Meldrick and Frankie Randall fought Chavez, instead of running.

Of course not, he is still drafting out his fictitious response.

I wasn't arguing with his opinion just pointing out how silly his response was!

Now in regards to PW's best win, IMO, Chavez: 2 top pfp and ATG's going at it(but still maintain that Chavez had just peaked and was more battle-weary with almost 90 fights, not to mention that JCC never proved anything at welter)

there was no "fight" . . . just one guy chasing another.
