In regards to comparing my power against others, I've only said what I've been told. Wanna go $3k that Sam C. said I was one of the most powerful hitters in the gym? I can film him and ask him. Or we can have an anonymous party ask him, lol. I'm no liar. He told me what he told me. I may not have been the best boxer. Or had the best technique (I've come a long way since the footage posted). But what I can do is hit like a mule.
If I'm in a thread and he starts spewing his nonsensical views about the secrets of punching power and alludes to his own abilities to support his claims (like he did here), I'm gonna feel free to bring up the fact that his footage was unimpressive. The sooner your little buddy stops exaggerating about his own abilities, the sooner we can drop this topic.
Reread my post and try again. I'm more than fine with having paid $100 per month for unlimited gym access and weekly hour-long personal sessions.
Of course, I'm not any high judge. A number of people on this forum have ridiculed his footage. I actually feel a little sorry for him because whatever smoke the folks at his gym have been blowing up his ass has led to him becoming downright delusional.
I'm giving my opinion on the topic at hand based on my personal experiences. Does that offend you? You've never boxed kevin. Not a single time. What makes you think you are an authority on any of this?
And who are these posters? I know who my coach is. I know who the boxers that I trained with are. They sure as hell aren't anonymous 40 year olds with zero boxing experience. Why would I suppress personal stories of myself that relate to a topic just because it annoys some creepy 40 year old with no real experience?
Yes, your claim that there isn't a street fighter in the world who can hit as hard as Malignaggi is absolutely false. I've personally known people with better one punch power than Paulie who've never set foot in a boxing gym. Even if you don't, you'd be a fool to think that they therefore don't exist.
He hasn't exaggerated at all. He is telling us what others have told him about his work. He gets told he "hits like a ****ing mule" multiple times. How is that exaggeration on his part?
One of the mitts trainers at my gym charged $10-$20 for an hour on mitts. But once he saw that you were actually training at the gym often, he'd just do them with you. I don't know if I should say that out loud though. There are trainers out there trying who make a buck by helping nobodies feel like James Toney on the mitts. I don't want to ruin their hustle.
Exactly. Some of the hardest punchers I've seen have come from amateur wrestlers. Weights also ruin the mechanics of the punch, btw.
I apologise If I've played a part in that due to this thread. I'm not usually like that. But I was arguing with a moron. This part of the forum is the main resin why I come here. It's fantastic, usually.
