I am not sure what he can do. Maybe try and win the 140 pound title again and try and make it into the HOF. He can still do it.

He has did everything he wanted to do except beat the p4p best & since thats never going to happen he should retire healthy, he has made enough money to secure his family for life so why keep going, retire.

Ps. maybe we should stick to calling him Ricky, we dont know him personally afterall.

    :thumbsup

    Wait a second!!!
Ricky Hatton have lost two fights.
Both loss was to the p4p no.1,first to Floyd and now to Manny pacman.

how many loss have pacman? 2 or 3.
IF hatton was beat up badly for several rounds the thing might have looked different.
HE WAS HIT FLUSH BY PUNCHES HE DID NOT SEE.
THE SAME WAY THAT AMIR KHAN WAS...
when cotto lost after a beatdown by margarito nobody mentioned retirement!WHY?
Because he is still a great fighter, and he ain´t shot!
How many loss have Mosley??do you think he should retire....
IMO the worst thing hatton have done in his career was to hire FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR.
tHE ONLY THING THAT MAN HAVE DONE IS TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF.
Ricky Hatton should take a vacation, try to hire NASEEM RICHARDSON OR FREDDY ROACH.
And fight 2-4 fights before hanging the gloves up.
ALL the best fighters in the whole wide world have losses...exept Floyd may.
Ricky Hatton is still a fighter that would give anybody at 140 lots of problems.
De la hoya has loss,Hopkins has loss,JMM have lost,Pacman have lost,i could carry on for a very long time...everybody loose sometimes!!!
Ricky Hatton lost that fight before they start to fight...Pacman caught him,you don´t have to be a rocketscience to see that.
IMO,there is still some great fights in Hatton,Kick that piece of **** to floyd OUT of the Hatton team.
AND hire Naseem Richardson,he can do new things to "old" fighters...
    JUST DON´T QUIT!!!

Hopefully he will stay out of the ring, for his health sake. The look on his face while he was down last saturday was not something good to look at. He is young has made a ton of $$ so he can just go and enjoy with that fine looking girl plus his son....Thanks for the memories....

Of course he should retire......he has made a fortune beating handpicked opponents and he just about has all his faculties intact.

The problem is Ricky is surrounded by muppets like his father who cannot accept the fact that Ricky isn`t a great fighter but a limited one who beat handpicked opponents and washed up fighters like Castillo and Tsyzu.Ray Hatton blamed Billy Graham for the poor shows against Lazcano and Mayweather and I am sure Ray will be listening to morons like Glenn McRory who says that it is all Mayweather seniors fault even though Glenn was telling us that Mayweather senior was the dogs bollocks after Rickys average performance against hand picked powder puff puncher Paulie Malignaggi.

Ricky isn`t a world class fighter and for the last 7 or 8 years he wasn`t the best light welter in Britain.Ricky avoided Witter because he knew his career would be finished before it even started.

Hatton is a popular bloke but he was all hype and had nothing to back the hype up apart from his fans who know little about boxing.

The problem I envisage is a trainer saying "do I really want to work with Someone who doesn't listen?"

And on the flipside a first class trainer can also be thinking "I could be the one who changes hitman for the better" so someone could see it as a challenge

But if ricky is really thinking to come back.......please please please do not binge eat in your time of rest......you have a mountain to climb already by being disciplined in the ring...do not have to keep messing yourself up with more
    Mountains to climb!!!!!
