Dam there goes Joe Louis, who got beaten by Max....got out pointed and given a gift from Walcot, lost to the Rock.

and Ali....Frazier...Spinks of all things, got a gift vs Jones, a razor saved him vs Cooper...so Ali's out too. He lost.
So it's Rock in number 1.

Tunney's out, he lost to Gibbs once.

Jeffereis is out too, coming back at 35, and lost.

Sullivan lost once and got a gift of a draw when he borke his arm once.

Vittili lost to Cuts and a shoulder injury...but not was not "beaten" in the ring. Up on points by far in both fights.

So the top 20 looks like this.
    Marchinio 1-20...never lost....

Good thing I'm a Rocky fan...even though I rooted for my man Moore in that fight.

On resume, probably not as high as some due to the reputation level of fighters he's faced and his losses owing to injury.

On H2H performance? I don't give anyone a chance of beating him except Lewis.

I dont know the old guys but post WW2 hes top 10 for sure IMO.

Hes unbeatable which is always a good start for a great champion lol
Hes beaten some good fighters, the dominant champs have been

    Marciano
    Liston
    Ali
    Foreman/Frazier ...maybe...both are overrated though
    Holmes
    Tyson
    Lewis
V Klit (cant rate his brother because hes been sparked too many times even if hes dominant now)

Holyfield seems to have dropped out of many peoples toplists, great gutsy fighter but never super-dominant

You're an idiot. Vitali has a terrible resume, he hasn't been 1/10th as dominating nor has he had the longevity Louis had. Louis held the belt for over a decade and has a record of 25 consecutive HW defenses. Schemling is better than anyone Vitali ever beat.

Having lost, while being a terrible resume in the worst HW era won't get you much. Taking 4 years off doesn't help either.

Vitali is not a top 15-20 HW. Face the facts...

lol the popular consensus on esb is tantamount to puritanism: the haunting fear that someone somwhere has a different opinion to you! god forbid someone differs from the herd! idiots, vir would murde the likes of liston, rocky, holmes etc the brothers are top 15 easily deal with it.

How the hell can some of you ignore V.K.'s greatness and not even rate him in the top-20? I see Wlad at # 20.. SO! Neither V.K. or Wlad have a chance at beating the likes of "Patterson, Dempsey, Marciano, Tunney, HARRY WILLIS, Buzzard Charles or the great but short and stocky Langford.?.? That's total bull****, too.........

    MR.BILL:huh:fire

Bizarre rankings. Patterson over Foreman? Dempsey and Marciano over Holmes? :bart

Vitali looked terrific last night. He is an all-time top heavyweight. Top twenty for sure. His left hand is educated. He throws punches with reasonable accuracy. His power is awesome, but he doesn't force the knockout. His reflexes are sharp (he's 38!). His ring generalship is superb. He really thinks in there. Top 10? Probably. Top 20? Definitely.

He will never rank higher than Ali, Holmes, Foreman, and Liston. They would beat him. But he well may rank higher than Lewis and Holyfield when all is said and done. He's already ahead of Dempsey and Marciano in my view.
