He looks the same to me! That was a good tough fight for him. Thats probably why he didnt look what people are use to.

i thought luevanos punches look much crisper. He was beating him to the punch the first few rounds. That jab was getting there faster than JMLs.

After seeing that i changed my mind to a Gamboa win.

At first when the possiblity of this fight was mentioned i favored JML but Gamboa is fixing his flaws while JML isnt.

I bet if you asked Luevano he doesn't think JuanMa's punches were coming too slow. JuanMa has some definite flaws, his defense is shaky although his chin looks solid, he can get taken out of his gameplan, and he does seem to have stamina issues, but I think many people are forgetting he was in with a Champion on Saturday. I obviously don't think Luevano is a great fighter, but he had successfully defended his belt 5 times and in a few threads before the fight many people were picking him to beat JuanMa. It was a one sided fight the he ended with a pretty decent 7th round KO. If it wasn't for the way Gamboa looked earlier in the night I don't think there would be that much criticism of him or his performance. Gamboa looked good and I may even favor him to beat JuanMa but lets not forget that he was in with a low level opponent who moved up in weight class but came in at 122lbs. And of course I know Matagwa just gave Lopez all he could handle but just becasue fighter A beats (or fights tough) fighter B doesn't mean....ETC.

I missed this fight - was it really one sided in favor of JuanMa or was it competitive?

I first watched Gamboa's fight and after that Lopez' fight.. Lopez looked SOO slow after first seeing the speedy Gamboa in action.

Don't be fooled by the pro record. The experience is acquired at the gym. Gamboa has a lot more experience than Juanma. I do think Juanma has the potential to beat him, but they have to correct the mistakes. If he gets sloppy against Gamboa he wil pay the price.

The same could be said about Gamboa, who tends to be sloppy himself as well.

JML was looking like old Tito, He had to set and plant his feet then punch. he was missing big. I never seen him miss like that. He needs to improve his boxing skills asap.

I feel like he needs to commit more when inside or out as he tends to sit in the pocket for extended periods. Im sure all those looks he keeps giving is taking extra toll on his stamina.
