Would be stupid of Mosley to take anything less then 40%. Maybe he can move to 35 but thats about it. Floyd needs him or will look like the biggest chicken in boxing.
It would be a huge letdown if this doesn't happen now. Especially after how Mayweather-Pacquiao ended their negotiations. Hopefully Mayweather and Mosley realize this, but I have my doubts. They are more concerned about themselves then the sport boxing as a whole, especially Mayweather. But if the fight doesn't happen it won't be all Mayweather's fault, unless of course he just backs out then it will be all on him. Mosley better willing to take what he can get, and not let his pride get in the way. Take that pride in the ring and prove you are the best. It is also a great opportunity for Mayweather to beat an elite fighter and make a lot of money.
:good exactley. 25 or 30 per cent like mike said is just totally unreasonable remember it takes two to tango floyd/mosley is bigger than floyd/mallignaggi because the name mosley is there. 35% is as low as mosley should go and he deserves atleast this much
I disagree. Mosley should take what he gets. I am a Mosley guy, but if he tries to dictate terms he is in the wrong. Mayweather is a bigger star than him. I might be hard for him to realize it, but it is true. The both need each other, but Floyd is the bigger draw. Mosley would stand make more at 30% then he would with any other fighter outside of Pacquiao. But who knows, these guys make stuff so difficult. Just sign and fight, you are both rich and you are going to be richer.
Very very quiet, no peeps at all from anyone about this supposed superfight. Oscar, Schaefer, Mosley, Floyd, Ellerbe all seem to be under some kind of gag order as this inhouse fight is supposedly being made. something is very very very fishy here. we'll soon see if this is another duck by the duck, an inhouse choreogrpah or whatever else they cook up. I for one hope it's on the straight though, could really be a good matchup if they both fight for real.
Maybe they are finalizing and getting everything squared away. I think by now if it wasn't going to happen, Mosley would be ripping on Floyd somehow.
ALL *******S LIKE THIS ONE JUST SHUT THE HELL UP...WE ALREADY KNOW FLOYD SUCKS AND HE DESERVES NO FIGHT WITH MANNY AND HE IS SCARED OF SHANE MOSLEY...ENOUGH HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT THAT K..NOW GO BACK TO RESEARCHING MANNY WHICH IS CLEARLY THE ONLY FIGHTER YA'LL WATCHhi:
Here is the problem with that. It is about getting paid or not getting paid at all. Mosley makes more money at 25 or 30 then he would at 60-40 fighting then say Paul Williams. Williams is a tougher fight, IMO. Plus let's say he wins, makes 8 million at 30% of the purse. Then he has levergae in a possible Pacquiao fight and a possible Mayweather rematch. Like I said it isn't about pride, yes Mosley should get 40% in a perfect world, but if Floyd is ***** footing around purse split, then Mosley should say, you know what, I am getting paid regardless, lets get it on. Now if Floyd is asking for 80% then that is a little ridiculous. But I don't see 30% as unreasonable, especially since Floyd just did 1 millionPPV buys with Marquez.
LMFAO...ELLERBE SAID THE OTHER DAY NEGOTIATIONS ARE GOING WELL...MOSLEY TEAM SAID THEY ARE CORDIAL..UR ONE OF THOSE STUPID ****ING IDIOTS THAT ALWAYS ASSUME FLOYD AT FAULT FOR EVERYTHING:bart THE **** OUT WITH YOUR BULL**** QUARTAY UR POSTS ARE GARBAGEhi:
Michael Marley just posted a new article saying that Mosley's camp upgraded the talks to "very cordial" from simply "cordial" yesterday. This is stupid but at least things appear to be moving in the right direction.
If (of course this is all hypothetical) 8 million is 30% of the purse then that means PBF is getting 18 million. If I was Mosley I'd be pissed too and tell him to go find someone else. You can't base a purse of a current fight on future fights. What happens if something happens to Pac and he retires? What happens if Mosley loses? PBF needs this fight more then he does. He should stand his ground for 40% - 50%.
