Big George brings some good 'been-there and done-that' insights to the show.

Maybe cause Lewis was so bad at first he seemed to have gotten better. But your right Royal tea bag , Lewis should stick to trying to help his country man try to beat Haye . Haye is going to need all the help he can get against the VK

Mesi would be a good commentator but would he show up? He kept pulling out of fights.

Jirov was losing till he started banging away at back of Mesi's head, which may have led to his carreer ending injury. I know he boxed again, that injury ruined him.

He's probably retired, he really didn't look good in his comeback route fights.

Ah man, you have got to be joking.

Roy was one of the best commentators around and Lewis' commentating is a mumbling, stuttering, repetitive, non-articulate buffoonery fest. Lewis is painful to listen to, I cringe at least 5 times every broadcast.

He didn't look very good at first, but then I thought he started to come along very well....

For the record, Mesi's head trauma was severely blown out of proportion, and should not have been grounds for him to never be licensed to fight again. The man simply had broken blood vessels in the head. Bleeding, the size of the top of a pencil, and that type of injury CAN NOT reoccur. The blood vessel simply dissolves, and no longer exists. You can't reinjur something that doesn't exist anymore. Mesi was really boxing Jerov's ears off before that huge shot to the back of the head that clearly knocked Mesi silly. However, his injury wasn't anything that isn't common among football players on a week to week basis.

I actually felt that by peering into Mesi's private medical situation, and suspending him... the commission was really doing boxing a disservice. The commision had already cleared him to leave without taking a trip to the hospital after the fight. Mesi took it upon himself to go to his own doctor and get an MRI to make sure that everything was ok. That fact that his private medical records reached the public in the first place was pathetic... but I think that the commission has simply scared other figters away from taking their own health into their hands and getting a checkup if they feel that it's needed. Now, everyone will be afraid to get an MRI, thinking that it may end their career if something gets out.

If every commission ordered EVERY fighter to get an MRI after every boxing match, I think that we would all be amazed at how many people suffer from the injury that Mesi had.

Mesi is prepping himself to become the next Brian Kenny on FNF. That's about the only place you'll see him these days.. doing color commentary.

He honestly made it akward at some times, though. I mean, it never failed- EVERY fight he commentated with Lampley and the gang, he would get into some argument.

Lennox 'Definitely' Lewis is just plain bad. He is incapable of giving any fighter any sort of criticism.

You got that way flipped around in my opinion. Lewis stammers and mumbles through most of what he has to say which isn't much to tell you the truth as he usually brings very little insight to the fights he's commentating. While Jones on the other hand is quite proffesional and brings good expert insight and interprets very well what he's seeing in the ring.

Of all the fighters who commentate these days, Roy is by far the best IMO.

out boxed maybe but he didn't get his ass beat, watch after the 8th round where Jirov dances a little in his corner then comes out and starts beating the bag out of Mesi...as far as the punches to the back of the head there were a few but mostly because Mesi was leaning in (falling down)

I think the hellacious uppercut in the 10th did more damage than anything else...by the way Jirov wins that fight if he could have gotten mesi's arms off his waist...

I thought this was done with a long time ago... let it die with Mesi's career
