http://www.wintv.com.au/national/news/item/45304/ There's the Google search, nothing mentioned about sacking Smith... (Link shown below) This content is protected Tuesday 8, Nov 2011 In his fight with Ricky Burns there was alarm bells for Michael Katsidis after just one round. Katsidis said after just three minutes he felt like he had boxed eight. He was drained and struggled to fire with his trademark power. He also had a perforated ear drum which limited his communication with Brendon Smith in between rounds. And while no decision has been made, its highly likely Katsidis will move up to junior welter weight. In August the Toowoomba fighter stopped Mexican Michael Lozada in three rounds at junior welter weight. Before any decisions are made Katsidis will take a much needed break from the ring. He's been in training for almost the entire year of twenty eleven.
Mate many thanks for that. I certainly didn't see that link when I Googled. Big news, a little too late to be frank in my opinion, but best of luck to Mick to try and rejuvenate his career for one last run. It reminds me of Ricky Hatton trying to squeeze every last drop out of his career with Floyd Mayweather Snr. One thing though, I wish Mick would get rid of that overhand/chopping hook shot thing he has happening, it not only looks awkward and ridiculous, it has to lack power and it's coming down with nothing behind it. Whether he taught himself or Brendan did, it's ****ing stupid and just a bad habit now going nowhere.
