the fight will happen and Vitali is going to stop the slow plodding stationary Peter. Peter is tailor made for Vitali.

On the GOLOTA EXPRESS thread, the latest report is that they are considering Peter Golota to fight in September ( same month for the propose Vitali Peter fight) , so Peter is apparently not wanting to fight ANYone til September, or else he'd have King put Golota in there with him alot sooner than September. :good

Vitali is not holding anything up. Sounds like Peter ain't fightin til September, with or without him.

This is the million dollar question, at first, like always, thought Vitali might actually fight Peter, now with this whole mayor thing, his priorities are somewhere else. The fact that Vitali hasnt stepped in the ring in nearly 3 and a half years must also be factored in, Vitali will not come in better, his reflexes will be much slower, as well as handspeed, which depletes over time, just ask the greats such as Tyson and Jones.

Vitali was a very good fighter in his prime, 02-04, his style and toughness made him one of my favorites at the time, and unlike Wlad, Vitali didnt go down on his oppenents(no pun intended), yet fought with heart, chin, and toughness. Since Nov/Dec of 04, he has become part of the problem in the Heavyweight division, not the sollution. His failed comeback attempts over the past 3 years have been annoying to fans and his oppenents alike, costing them time and money, and us exciting fights that should of happend, yet we are still plauged with Vitali's bull**** 3 and a half years later.

Vitali is one of my favorite fighters, but he can't keep holding things up the way he has. I thought Peter-Vitali negotiations were happeneing a while ago? what happened with that?

Guys, from what I remember he is running for mayor but will fight peter (win or lose the mayoral election). From the article I think the target date was in the fall Sept-Oct.

    He wasn't involved in Brewster-Liakhovich, or Barrett-Beck.

Vitali is still negotiating with Don King who is trying to do anything he can to stop Vitali from knocking out Peter. Vitali will run for mayor of Kiev, then fight Peter this fall. Don King will do anything he can to stop this fight, however, WBC has ordered Peter to fight Vitali.

I agree that it is a good strategy for Peter. Sign to fight someone in else in hopes that it will speed things along with Vitali.

I have a feeling though that Peter is just using the Golota camp and have no intention of fighting him next!

Vitali is a chess player. He is 2 or 3 moves ahead of us. I think he's just saying what he says so Peter will get fatter and lose focus....

Of course, then it'll be yet another undertrained, fat, contender that Brittley beats.

Of course, if he wins, then at least he beats this out of shape WBC champ, unlike the last time he faced a heavy, undertrained WBC champ.

But it won't happen, because Brittley will pull out again due to injury.

I heard Dr Ironfist is back to science. He is currently investigating how many times can Champion Emeritus pretend to make a comeback and make fools of everybody before getting stripped by WBC.

I am not following his studies very closely, but I believe he is already testing two digit numbers and he is determined to complete his research.
