It's never gonna be ppv so they'd be as well getting it done now.. a tune up fight for Mitchell isn't going to get anymore interest in him and Murray has to be looking for an eliminator to get a world title fight.... Mitchell would be a terrific scalp for him.

For me Murray wins this with a late stoppage

Why are so many domestic boxers doing this, Its not Just John Murray has said Khan is ducking him and is running scared but also Kevin Mitchell, Lee McAllister, And John Thaxton. There are alot of people that are trying to land the Khan fight domestically. Murray started his professional career before Khan and so should be ahead and its like Khan has left him far behind.

The question is therefore who has Khan fought that Murray hasnt fought? Or what has he done that Murray hasnt? Why was Khan leapfrogged over him?

Dont put it all down to Hennessy, Also I think Khan is being matched very tough, People like Malignaggi, Maidana, Bradley/Alexander, Marquez are in my opinion very toguh competition for someone with just 24 fights 1 of which was a loss. While Murray gets away with fighting a Ukrainian with 10 losses and doesnt get a fraction of the criticism that Khan gets.

I think Goldenboy need to take it easy with the tough matching with Khan, They even said the winner of Khan/Maidana may fight Ortiz before the Bradley/Alexander winner. Oritiz was offered to Murray to fight on Khans undercard on HBO and Joe Gallagher turned it down. It was Johns big chance and he blew it.

lol @ thinking khan is gonna drop his aspirations to fight the likes of tim bradley, devon alexander, zab judah etc. to fight kevin mitchell or john murray

yeah, khan is "ducking" mitchell, some guy with 30 fights and no titles who got sparked by katsidies, to fight maidana, one of the toughest light welters in the world

    you high or something?

I agree with Rob on this one, why make this fight for no money now, when you could build it up to be a bigger fight in 8-12 months time. Let Mitchell get a comeback fight under his belt and progress to some tougher test and Let Murray get a new promoter and start fighting some good european/fringe world level contenders. Then they can meet for a world title or some sort of Eliminator in the not to distant future in a big domestic showdown.

Murray might have started ahead of him, but two things hindered him, mostly because he didn't have the publicity Khan did from the Olympics, and also in a small part because he didn't have Warren.

The reason they shout Khan's name is because it gets them in the papers and publicity

Murray and Mitchell are beyond prospects now, They are like 26/27 years old they are contenders for a world title, Prospects are people like Heffron and Gavin. So people need to think of Murray and Mitchell outside of the prospect frame of mind.

This idea of "building up" a fight is getting old, The boxers are getting old, If your not willing to fight the best and beat the best then get out of the way and let someone who is willing ready and able to do so. They should stop wasting the time of the boxing community.

I agree there is no real reason that Khan will fight Mitchell who just got knocked out in his last fight with Katsidis after badmouthing and calling out Khan, Or Murray who doesnt have a single top 10 name on his record.

What im trying to say is Khan is being matched much much tougher than Mitchell or Murray and he is younger than both of them and he gets alot more criticism than both of them, Why is that?

Well its not Khans fault he went to the Olympics, Im sure if Murray was capable he would have went and won a medal. But he didnt so he should stop being bitter about Khans success from the Olympics.

As for Warren, I doubt if Khan was sucessful at the Olympics he would have signede Khan in the first place.

In short Khan is a self made man. Murray/Mitchell are trying to make a name riding on the back of others like you said.

Because he's more successful. That's why. And he's made a lot of people look stupid by going on to win a world title in less than 12 months after they said he was finished.

Like who? A featherfisted malignaggi and a shot to **** Barerra. You can buy the hype all you want. Khan is a glass chinned joke. Sure Mitchell actually beat Prescott.

The fighters Khan fought are better than all the fighters in Mitchells and Murrays record combined.

Dangerous opponents like Al Hamidi the ice cream van driver, A shot to bits Thaxton, A feather fisted Lee McAllister for Murray.

Mitchell got sparked by Katsidis. :hi:

Theres a good chance he would also spark Khan. Prescott sisnt have the power to spark Mitchell.

Khans has faught them fighters because of his hype and the only decent name is Barrera, who is shot to ****. Malignaggi is taylor made for Khan because of his lack of power and Kotelnik is probably the worst champion in the devisions history with Salita up there with the worst ever challengers. Wave all you want Khan has proved nothing.

Why then was a shot-to-**** Barrera predicted by many on here, to beat Khan? And why is it that a feather-fisted Malignaggi still shits on the guys that Mitchell and Murray have beaten? There's also the Kotelnik who smacked the much touted Devon Alexander about, but Khan manages to shut him out for the whole 12 rounds? And now he's facing the power-puncher Maidana is he? Surely a glass chinned joke can't go facing these people as easy as that?

Fair enough he's not got the resume of a Mayweather or a Pacquiao, but for a 23 year old who's only had one fight in the US, he's not doing too bad so far. And with him looking to unify the whole division by the end of 2011, that's a step in the right direction.

If Kotelnik is the worst champion ever, then that says a lot about Alexander then. So I can picture it now.....

Maidana - he too was tailor-made. All he had was power. He's as clumsy as they come.

Alexander - overrated and he was schooled by Kotelnik. Of course Khan was going to win.

Bradley - GBP and Roach knew he'd be too small to give Khan trouble. Khan's a huge LWW.
