Mayweather will return to no:1 agter he beats Marquez.

And IF (Big If) ricky beats Manny he goes to no:2.

He also becomes Britains best fighter alongside Lennox. I already rate him higher than Steven Segal aka Joe Calzaghe because hes faced big challenges in their prime + hasnt hid behind a minor title. He also stops/Kos past prime greats (though Tszyu was no:3 at the time)

Hatton is just a fat man who has beaten a load of bums over the years and some were shot and way past the sell by date. The first live opponent he fought ie PBF found him out and murdered him.

Zoo was rusty, on the decline, hadnt fought in 2 years and was 34 + or summat. The likes ov vilches, urango, stewart, castillo werent exactly the best fighters in the wolrd were they. Judges robbed Collazo and hatton just likes to grab folk and fight on. He will never in my eyes be a great british fighter due to the above.

He is a great ticket seller and thats it. Warren managed him well with some shi*te champions defending the WBU.

PBF is one of the greats of boxing and deserves to be 5 weigth world champ. The greatest of all time is the only one ie Muhammad Ali.

He's fighting at JWW, so how does that make him P4P? He sucks at WW, so he sticks at the only weight that he can do well at. Beating someone who is better than him P4P doesn't make HIM P4P king all of a sudden.

    Ok I agree with you that hatton doesn't get enough credit but;

DLH was around p4p top 10 when he and hopkins fought but yes much smaller

Howard eastman was seen by some as the no1 contender at MW

Jermain Taylor was def the no1 contender in MW, very close fight which could of gone either way and when they had a rematch also a close fight Taylor was in a lot of people's p4p top 10.

Tarver was 2 weighclasses above and considered the no1 in his div and in the p4p top 10

Wright was in the top 10 p4p but like DLH is a smaller guy but Bhop moved up in the fight before

Joe Calzaghe a close fight which I def think JC won, JC was at the time p4p top 3

finally Pavlik, top 10 p4p and yes he was stepping up but from the same weight BHOP had stepped up from 3 fights earlier.

**** Bhop has an awesome record and last 8 fights! If Hatton wins vs Pac it will be tight between the 2 for 3rd or 4th p4p.

Bearing in mind most intelligent observers put him within a British top 10 list I would suggest you are wrong.

I currently have him in the lower half of a top 10.... a win over Pacquiao would put him over Calzaghe.... achievements dictate in this instance.

Though unless he beats Mosley he won't become #1 anytime soon.

I laugh at people putting Hatton behind Manny if Hatton wins. Pure intelligence behind that choice lol

But tell me m8, who has he beat who was world class and at their peak. Maussa was crap. He beat harris who wasnt that great and junior knocked him out. Malignaggi has got a big gob, is worse than harris...

Zoo was all about being the right time and he hadnt fought in 2 years. PBF offered ricky the fight at 140. Ricky chose to turn it down. Like i say, I respect Benn, Eubanks, hamed more for what they achived and who they fought. Calazghe best opponent too date was kessler and I rate that win better that hattons over zoo as was made at kesslers peak.

Hatton will never also fight mosley as knows bigger men like that will kill him. PBF destroyed him and wasnt really a welterweight either.

At the time Hatton was offered the Floyd fight at 140... he had some serious legal issues going on with Frank Warren which threatened to derail his career - he also hadn't fought in the USA in anything other than a six round undercard fight.... hardly decent preparation for a major showdown.

The fight was as big as it could have been when it was made, say it was made in early 2006 nobody here would really have cared - as it was, people with no interest in boxing were talking about it at their workplaces and hoping Floyd received a beating.

Hatton is much better at 147 than anyone gives him credit for, including himself... he beat a guy in Collazo who was his worst nightmare stylewise whilst being out of shape, and competed fairly well against Floyd before losing the plot. Shane would **** him up bad though..... brawler/slugger with solid chin = early bath for Hatton!

    5th.

Marquez will move to no.1. Pac will move to 2, B-Hop at 3, and Vasquez at 4, though he's going to lose that if he doesn't sort out his inactivity (though of course not his fault and with a Marquez-quality performance against any other top contenders he will surely solidify his place again in most people's P4P lists)

The man in your avatar has only ever beaten one fighter (the same as Hatton) who's come from a weight above his career weight. I take it you don't think he's p4p worth either?
