No. Any puncher always has a chance. Vitlai just put on a great performance. I want to see him fight again. Peter was outclassed by a super heavy with skills, and better speed. Peter can fight men his statue on close terms.

Vitlai's ability to win rounds, might even be greater than Ali's or Holmes. Its true, Vitlai is too sharp, throws too many punches, and is pretty hard to hit.

I don't think Valuev, Toney, or Haye would win a round vs Vitlai.

Of course, which is why I wrote "as little chance as it is possible for a top class HW to have" rather than "no chance".

    Unquestionably.

    Me too.

Yes, this is true too. But I hypothesised before the fight that Peter's only chance was to encounter a Vitali who was rusty as a nail, unable to breath properly or time his man properly. Having seen the fight do you agree this was the case?

Your feelings on Vitali winning rounds - he's good, but didn't Peter win a round against him on one of the judges cards?

I think two judges had it 8-0, and one judge had it 7-1. I think it was a clean 8-0 shut out.

To put it into context, Peter won at least 5 rounds vs James Toney in the first fight, and whipped Toney in the 2nd fight.

As I said before, out boxing Vitlai is very hard for any ATG.
