I have met countless fighters and champs through the years... And for the most part almost all of them were super friendly and nice guys... I cant say that abouut alot of pro atheletes, where its a regular thing for a lot of them to shine you on and act like they didnt see or hear you.

Boxers are the roughest and toughest guys, but generally are good hearted and not got up in some Primadonna better than thou image.

Johnny Tapia,Genaro Hernandez,Danny Lopez,Bobby Chacon,SHane Mosley,Fernando Vargas ,ODLH,Mando Muniz,Paul Gonzalez, Muhamad Ali, Many Pacquiao,RUben Olivaresi all stand out as good guys and quick to start conversation or take pictures, autographs etc.

Chavez had a prima donna i dont see you attitude... Bob Foster was a grouch but still took a pic and signed mygloves so he was still cool........ Michael Carbajal gave me a dirty look and walked away when i approached him... And they might have bad days.. Out of at least 100 fighers ive met and only 3 acted like dicks, that says something.

WHere as with Pro atheletes its like 50/50 they might brush you off and keep on walking.

WTF? Did that really happen? It couldn't be the other way around. No judge would believe he hit hard enough to trouble a grown woman.

That's wicked as balls, man. Thanks for sharing that. Sorry I forgot about this thread. I'm surprised about Carbajal. I wouldn't have guessed it. I don't know why but I'm not that surprised about Chavez. Something about him I can't put my finger on. I always figured he'd be unfriendly. I'm glad Hernandez was a good guy, like I always hear he is. I saw he passed away yesterday. Sad to hear.

anybody that represents this great sport in a positive way and breaks the stereotypes and misconceptions the general public has on fighters. but i will say this much, most fighters in general are some of the nicest, mild mannered, thoughtful, people i've met. for every mayweather, tyson (when he was off his medicine), prince naseem, david haye there are plenty more glen johnson, jermain taylor, mickey ward, manny pacquiao, miguel cotto, wladimir klitchko, and the list can go on and on of course.

i'm sure that pacman is always happy to enter the ring but i think that it couldn't hurt him when his opponent sees him coming into the ring so happy, joyful, and excited, like a kid on christmas day. as opponent you must be thinking what's wrong with this guy, is he crazy, does he know something i don't know. here we are going into combat where someone can be permenantly hurt or die and he's just so happy to be a part of this.
