jermain taylor- met him once and just couldn't believe to how nice he was. i'm so relieved he's taking time off, hopefully it permanent.

luisito espinoza- saw him working as a stock boy at costco in the bay area. he was a big star in philipines not that long ago.

I went with Taylor because he is the only one on that list that never had that moment where he was the best in his division or best P4P. Louis comes in a very close 2nd based on what happened after his career.

    Fighter who's still fighting: Martinez.

He got robbed against Cintron and his only loss had come from Marg who probably cheated in their fight. Pavlik is his Last Hurrah for getting a big win. Hope he can do it.

meldrick taylor, almost won by split decision ... after that he declined fast and suffered brain damage.

jones? I feel sorry for his fight in last few years but he's still healthy and damn rich!
mike tyson seems to be in better state of mind these days

George Chuvalo has had a lot of tragedy in his life
Bobby Chacon Wife killed herself cause he wouldnt stop boxing, his dementia is real bad, his son was murdered,he was homeless for a while, battled alcholism but through all of that he seem like a happy guy and is very friendly when you meet him.
Johnny Tapia good guy just chasing to many demons, any body here read his book?
Always wondered why a nice very popular ATG like Arguello was suicidal and had bouts of depression?

    Louis is it for me.

A great, great HW champion reduced to being the equivalent of a Walmart greeter at a casino.

What they (US Government) did to Joe was totally wrong.

Dont fell sorry for Roy Jones at all in fact i enjoy seeing him get knocked around the ring:lol:

Feel bad for Tyson,Taylor and the rest. Although i dont know why Hagler is on that list,he seems to have a had a good retirement and was never beaten up in the ring. Retired at the right time.

Even the most nice people go through periods of pain & depression. You never know what's in someones head.

In regard to Arguello: I am Nicaraguense, and I am pretty sure Arguello got into politics after his boxing career.

If I am not mistaken, in his suicide note Arguello spoke of having "regrets." I have a feeling maybe he did some things he was ashamed of in his political career. This would not be unusual, as politics in Nicaragua are a sordid and corrupt endeavor.

Yeah I heard about him being in politics. That's too much stress for anyone.
