Which broadcaster getting May-Pac would've best for boxing?

    We know Sky have got the rights to Mayweather & Pacquiao, but which broadcaster do you think would've been the most beneficial to boxing?

    The advantages of Sky is that through it's vast amount of channels in can promote the event to the high hills.

    The advantages of Boxnation is that it would bring more awareness to the Sport as a whole with the number of international fights it shows.

    And obviously terrestrial TV would bring in more viewers.

    Would do the biggest numbers from a viewing standpoint...but would it get casuals interested following the fight? :think

    There would have been no advantage with the fight being on boxnation.

    Very little promotion and small userbase.

    Probably ITV

    Just think they would hype the fight more that the BBC and get more casuals interested

    Sky will probably do the best job of covering it though

    bbc, they could've hyped the fight across several tv and radio stations and got by far the biggest viewership. a timely apology for audley!

    Depends on a few things hopefully sky will reinvest the profits into boxing

    For free to air TV I would say ITV because at least they have shown boxing in recent years all too little imo but that's another point.

    The BBC have totally ignored boxing for years since the Harrison deal blew up in their faces.They pulled the plug on boxing on free to air TV and wouldn't deserve to show the fight even highlights.

    For subscription TV in the UK,SKY for me no doubt.

    BBC had some great nights covering Boxing.

    Old enough to remember all the top fights they had live or recorded from the late 70's,80's.

    The top people at the BBC have no interest in boxing and to get the MM v Pac fight would be wrong imo.:thumbsup

    it might be the fight to get them interested. i'm no fan of ads in between rounds. ads full stop, if i'm honest.

    The money we spend on a BBC TV licence goes on loads of middle of the road ****,safe TV.Celebrity dancing,cooking etc.

    It will be a long time before they show pro Boxing again if ever,real shame.

    true indeed, a real shame. so much of their output is dirt cheap to make, all that property / cooking / gardening rubbish. same for most channels, really.
