Agreed. Beating Cotto would be worth something too, IMO. Cotto's chin is a little soft, but the man still wouldn't be beat by just any ordinary fighter.
There are a number of possible opponents but a few of them aren't going to happen at the moment. Pac and Mayweather are obvious choices but I don't think he gets either next. Mosley is a good fit but he's probably going to face Pac next. Collazo rematch and Clottey are good fights but both guys are at 154. Of the guys I think he could actually fight the ones that would improve Berto's status are Cintron, Jones-Karass winner, or any of the jr welterweight winners from Khan-Madaina, Ortiz-Peterson, and Bradley-Alexander. I think he could help his stock, but not as much, by beating a few other guys like Bailey, Abregu, Aydin, or even Alfonso Gomez and Kendall Holt but they don't carry the weight that one of the other guys can.
Mosley. He's still a recognizable name and every fighter should have to go through the old guard to get on top.
Definitely the Collazo fight and he didn't look too impressive. He did comeback in the later rounds more aggressive and turned up the heat, but even with that the fight could of gone either way. I think he just beat Collazo by a hair, but I can understand if someone else think Collazo took it it was that close. I think he's a bonafide puncher with good speed, but is weak on his defense.
Berto can beat all of them, but at the same time he could lose to all of them...IMO he beats em all except Cotto and shane, MAYBE kahn.
Ah **** I didn't notice this thread earlier. Any of the above would be good for me, but I think he should be able to fight Mayweather or Manny as well.
