    Nice pick.

Devastating knockout. In hindsight, Jackson was the worst possible match-up for a Terry Norris.

A guy seven full years removed from his peak, who had failed to regain the title 3 years prior, and gone 51 rounds with Joe Frazier and Ken Norton -men Foreman dispatched in 10 minutes combined- never as much as staggering either once.

This loss was more than a kayo defeat in the ring. It was perhaps the granddaddy of crushing losses for a champion, for it shattered George's self-image of invincibility, retiring him for a year and changing him forever.

Nate Campbell -- Did some stupid showboating and it cost him. Went on to win 3 lightweight titles. Not bad.

I predict Pavlik is going to come back from that embarrassing loss to old-man Hopkins and be successful.

Obviously the top 3 were covered really (Lewis, Duran and Foreman in no order) so I'd like to throw out Wilfredo Gomez as one of the lower tier contenders for the crown. I mean he gets KO'd in epic fashion by Salvadore Sanchez and becomes the laughing stock of the PR vs Mexico rivalry. Then Gomez recovers to beat guys like Rocky Lockridge, Lupe Pintor and Kid Meza on his way to establishing himself as a HOF-er.

When I think of embarassing, it's not just getting KO'd, but a little more to it to cause the embarassment. There are 3 that come to mind. 3) Roger Mayweather sauntering into the ring wearing sunglasses. Way too cool for his own good, gets clocked in the 1st round by Rocky Lockridge. 2) Unbeaten Anthony Hembrick comes into the ring doing a choreographed hip-hop dance routine with all his hangers-on in synch with him and the music. In the other corner is a stoic Booker T. Word who ignores the pageantry and again, clocks Hembrick in the very 1st round. Remember, no dance routines and no sunglasses if you don't want to leave in shame. 1) This has got to be a #1 on everyones list. I read about it years ago. Jose 'Toluco' Lopez was a hot fighter who liked to party a little too much. Favored to win, he shows up for a bout with Willie Parker with maybe a little too much partying and tequila under his belt and gets stopped in about 7 rounds. That's not the worst of it. When he gets up after being stopped after too many body shots, everyone gave him a wide berth after he sh*t himself. Although he whipped himself into great shape for the rematch and beat Parker handily, I'd say it was a stigma that he couldn't lose.

I can see where you are coming from, but.....

Although a huge upset, the way Louis took his licks, meant he had nothing to be embarrassed about in losing to Schmeling.

Morrison for coming back and winning the WBO title by out boxing Foreman after suffering one of the worst knockouts in history from Ray Mercer.
