No I haven't been to any live kickboxing events yet. A couple of people have spoken to me about it but my focus was wholely and souly on aussie boxing but I am slowly branching out to kickboxing.

i was in the same class as lennox lewis from 1973 to 1976 i played in the same football team as nigel benn, although i did not know him well outside football, but i did know and talked boxing every week to his manager ambrose mendy-very knowledgable and nice man. i new colin mcmillan very well for about 10 years the featherweight wbo champ but it was before he was a proffesional boxer. denis andries was at the same gym as me and we said hello and i saw him all the time but i did not know him to talk to. living in stratford and working in canning town in londons east end , you saw well known boxing stars virtually every week, people like bruno/kaylor/hope/magri/ etc etc. there was lots of pro and amatuer gyms in the area as well fairburn house/repton/peacock/west ham/royal oak/ and the york hall where they all fought. all within 1/2 mile to 3 miles of where i lived. easy to get intrested in boxing when its right on your doorstep and in an area where boxing is in the blood. .

i was in vegas for new years and i met zab judah at the tryst nightclub he had a huge entourage with him but he seemed like a descent bloke. then when i was in miami i met jeff lacy while walking on the street late one night. he was an absolute champion stayed and chatted for about 5 minutes even though he was with a big group of people.
most fighters are very easy going and very approachable. its very rare that one wont stop to shake your hand and get a pic. i did run into an up and comer at rootyhill rsl once he was having his first pro fight i went up to met him as he arrived at the venue but totally brushed me. i said to my missus fuk that little *****. but then after the fight he went out of his was to find me and gave a me a t shirt and chatted for about 30 mins. so he then won me over and im now a fan of his (until th 18th of april)
Met Richie Woodhall at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Ritchie was a great guy. Plenty of funny stories over the ten days. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=003606&cat=boxer Lost to Calzaghe in his last fight...
I have not met many but those I did get a chance to meet are top blokes, very relaxed. Danny Green Anthony Mundine Tony Mundine Kostya Tszyu Billy Dib Nader Hamden Met both Green and Mundine. Both are very nice and humble guys, confident but humble. But they are both very different people.
