    Quite so.

And on the reach, there are reasons Silva may have a bigger reach advantage than the figures suggest. These are

    1) The figures are BS - wouldn't be the first time someone exaggerated a stat concerning their body

    2) GSP seems to have relatively broader shoulders than Silva, so his arm length would be less than Silva's

    3) A height advantage multiples a reach advantage, and Silva is significantly taller than GSP.

All much more sensible points than claiming a fighter has mystical 'reach knowledge'

More solid points, but some people know how to control reach better, Aoki' reach at 72in is good for a LW, but he does not take advantage of this in the strking game.

Will...was looking forward to Hamzas in depth analysis, but good points none the less

    4) Silva uses a more traditional side on stance more akin to traditional muay thai which gives him a more elongated reach in respect to the distance GSP will have to cover to hit Anderson. His wide legs stance allows him to generate more power when turning his hip into a punch, utilising shoulder movement and footwork rarely see in MMA

    5) GSP aint stupid enough to out box a counter striker

    GSP.

Jon Jones just won his title, I honestly don't know the reason why he would deserve this more than GSP. He has to clean house in his division before fighting anyone else from another division, he's the champ! Make some title defenses. In my book, he's a title holder, what defines a champion is his reign.

GSP can't finish guys at his own weight. He isn't very big and has never ventured to 185 so the buzz for me is gone. I'd rather see Silva vs Jones. Silva is big, can finish with strikes and submissions and has good wins at 205. The way he beat Griffin alone should get him a title shot. He destroyed a former champ like no other. A former champ who is back in the win column.

Jones vs silva should be more competitive since silva is a big dude and could easily fight at light heavyweight. GSP gets knockout plain and simple if he comes up and fight silva.

I cant believe the poll is neck and neck

Anderson vs GSP is a mismatch, and if it ever happens, Anderson will destroy GSP whenever he choses

Anderson vs Jones on the other hand pits two seemingly unbeatable guys against each other - one arguably the best fighter in the world with a huge experience advantage - the other a bigger seemingly unstoppable monster

Anderson is the only LHW with a shot at beating Bones

And Bones is the only LHW with a shout at beating Anderson

It's got nothing to with the reach but the fact is if GSP tried to strike with he would get his head removed from his shoulders, watching the Shields fight proved this to me. However, GSP could pull a Sonnen and take him down and grind out a W.

    1. Sonnen is a lot bigger than GSP
    2. Sonnen had been using steroids
    3. Anderson had a cracked rib
    4. Anderson was acting crazy - at one point he just stood still, hung his chin out, and let Chael crack him
    5. Chael's toughness - coupled with the drugs - allowed him to walk through Andersons shots. Those same shots he took coming in for the takedown would have rendered GSP unconscious

This is MMA. What was you expecting? A detailed break down and analysis of the fight? Half these guys only started watching MMA today. The best they can come up with is "War" -InsertFighterHere- ****'s tragic.

Where does your vote lie Scurla?

For me Silva vs GSP is a mismatch of Epic proportions - Silva Bones is the only true Superfight

    What are your thoughts?

Id love to see how Silva-Jones would play out, it would be really fascinating.

We all know that GSP is gonna go for the TD repeatedly every round because he is safety 1st... he either takes Silva down for 5 rds & wins a decision or gets KO`d on the way in trying... there is a slight chance that someone pulls a sub from the ground but its very unlikely.

With Silva & Jones, I just dont know what would happen.
