Haney and Teo could only land body shots because they are basic boxers who are rangier than Lomachenko. They could seldom land to the head despite the size advantage.

    Loma won both fights.

I might go back and watch it sometime. When I made that post I went back to the fight to refresh my memory and rewatched an early round. In round 2 Teofimo landed 2 body shots but nothing much else. I gave the round to Lomachenko.

Loma. BTW how can the Taylor win have asterisks? It wasn't particularly close.

If you thought Taylor was shot and drained maybe you put an asterisk on that win.

    Hmm..

Loma is far more skilled and better than Taylor albeit Taylor does have good skills himself but we didn't really get to see that at all in his last two fights

But Taylor is bigger than Teofimo, whereas, conversely, Teofimo is way bigger than Loma

Tefimo could obviously beat a same size Taylor because he beat a bigger version of him, but he wouldn't have a hope in hell of beating a same size Loma and I think we all can agree on that

Even Teofimo agrees about size being a huge factor

    Teofimo Lopez

Interviewer: ''Lomachenko is small for the weight class''

    Teofimo: ''Very!''

“He’s on the way out of the sport and 135 is just too big ,” the Honduran-American said.

Lomachenko, 32, started his career in 2013 as a 126-pounder. Lopez, 23, has fought at 135 since he turned pro in 2016.

''I think that he's on his way out. I really do believe that and 135 is just too much of a big weight class for him''

''If you look at the Luke Campbell fight, you can see there is just a lot of wear-and-tear on his body.

“I look at it like this—maybe this whole COVID-19 year helped him out. Maybe he needed it. That way he can probably at least hang in there a little bit with me. It’s going to be a great fight. I just look at the facts. You see a fighter who has gone up in weight class. Sometimes they go up too much where their body isn’t used to it, or the weight class is too big for them.''

“This man has had over 400 fights. I have over 150 fights. I’m 23. I’m going to tell you this, when I get to camp, oh man, my body aches sometimes. If I’m 23 and dealing with stuff at this age, I can only imagine what he must be going through at 32 with over 400 fights.”

''I'm not going to have a 126 pounder come out here and try and take over on me. I'm a big guy''

''No 126 pounder is going to beat my son. It's impossible'' -- Teofimo Lopez Sr.

I'd definitely agree Loma is the better win but the fact Teofimo was a lot bigger and heavier than Loma has to be factored in. And when Loma actually started to throw punches he was lighting Teofimo up and swept the vast majority of rounds after doing so, whereas Taylor never caused Teofimo too many problems even though I don't think it was quite as wide as many will have you believe.

Taylor is way more accomplished than Super Boots but if Teofimo moved up to his third weight class and fought him I'd pick Super Boots to brutally spark him out in a couple of rounds max. Super Boots is the athletic power punching phenom at 147 that Teofimo was at 135
