An action packed slugfest between two nobody’s or a technical chess match between two champions?

Technical chess matches can be good when the styles mesh and the fight is competitive. They are few and far between.

Slugfests are fun regardless of level as long as the referee is competent.

I mean I would rather watch a fight that's both a chess match and a slugfest.

I like a fight with a bit of everything chucked in really.
A bit of boxing, a bit of brawling, both men more or less equal in ability, and a perfect fight or near enough.

    I actually liked Hearns-SRL 1 more than Gatti-Ward. It's a chess match for me

The chess match would be more interesting over the long run. It would be more cerebral and would represent boxing at its finest...more like what boxing advocates would like to believe that their sport has evolved into, and not just the primitive bloodletting that the sport's detractors have been maintaining all along.

Two unskilled guys beating the shlt out of each other would be more fun than Floyd Mayweather vs Whitaker any day

Sometimes you want to watch Marlon Starling outboxing top contenders, sometimes you want to watch Alen Babic bash a a barely sentient punching bag.
