Be careful with the remarks, although you probably would not get sued, the forum moderators may end up having a headache if someone from DKP saw this.

The way the business works, I suggest means that DKP did not in anyway approach the judges.

But perhaps the judges did recognize how they scored certain fights affected if they were involved in future big (money) WBC title fights.....

Most on here call DK a crook, I don't think he gives a toss. Its normal for a promoter to influence and choose judges, wine and dine them, have little chats with them prior to fights. Its also normal the promoters fighter gets a house call. Refs such as Ron Lipton have come out and said they've been told to stop certain fighters early while giving house fighters chance to go on.

Whitaker-Chavez wasn't the only massively blatant robbery of the last 20 years but it was 1 of the most high profile and defining 1s

Wow, you saw Armstrong-Garcia live? Of course the middleweight title fight between the two doesn't even exist on film, so you must have been there to see how bad it was.

If you honestly think chavez won its shows you know absolute nothing about boxing. And it was one of the worst decisions ever given. Whittaker totally stole the show that night but was denied by the 2 blind mice at ringside.

Yes it does, I saw a film of it at least a decade ago.

Yeah? You sure it wasn't their welterweight encounter (which does exist on film)? I've never heard that the middleweight fight exists before.

Actually, you are right, it does exist on film. There's a 19 min. version floating around at knockoutprom.com. :good

I'm almost certain it wasn't. I actually have the first fight on tape, and it looks much different than how I remember the other fight I saw. It was different looking footage, and I distinctly remember him having Garcia on the ropes for long stretches, whereas he never really had him on the ropes in their first fight. Though essentially, both fights were replays of each other, with Armstrong getting inside and landing the cleaner punches round after round.

Either way, I've read several sources that confirm that the 2nd fight is on film, though I haven't come across it since then (though I haven't really looked either).

I'll watch the second Garcia fight now and give my impressions on it, as well as a scorecard - though it will be based on a couple of minutes footage per round.
