Which one of these defensive masters would win in a H2H match and who ranks higher in the ATG list? many people here say Whitaker is better defensively but Mayweather has an offensive advantage. I havent seen much from Whitaker so it got me wondering. What do ya'll think?
Whitaker. . . He transitions much better form offense to defense. . . He also had better offensive instincts. . . ATG - Whitaker. . . By about 15-20 spots. . .
Prime Whitaker's style is just impossible to beat. Floyd had problems early when Judah was fighting very defensively. Pea is of course on another stratosphere of talent and class as Judah. Whitaker rates higher ATG too.
Whitakers slick **** only worked against dumb dumbs that brawled or came forward, mayweather would not fall victim to that. Mayweather wide UD. I think whitaker beat ODLH btw
This is a tough fight to call. I'd rather wait until their careers are over to judge this fight. Both could jab, both could move, and both could make you miss.
Neither of them has been kod by a punch early or late in their careers. Neither is suspect of using PEDS. Both had a will to win every fight. Both men rematched men who either beat them or gave them a tough fight in their prime. Tough call for me.

Floyd by a non-controversial 1 to 3 round advantage UD. There ain't no style he can't figure out. His boxing IQ is too much for Whitaker, but that's not to take away from him, he's one of the best ever, but I just rate Floyd pretty damn high on my ATG list.
H2H, I'll go with Floyd UD, 7-5 8-4 8-4. ATG, at this point I'll give it to Whitaker..he is a top 25 atg...Floyd does not break top 35 at this point.
